Drukhari: Dark Foundry as a prerequisite for combat drugs research items

I noticed that various research items like Splintermind and Painbringer include the Dark Foundry research as a prerequisite, and it doesn't make sense. All other prerequisites are either units that use combat drugs by default, or the Cult cold trader T10 research to unlock them for other infantry. Dark Foundry's only unit that used combat drugs by default (or at all, the other don't get them either way), are the Reavers, but the Reavers need to be unlocked through research as well, Venom, the basic Dark Foundry unit, does not use combat drugs.

So shouldn't the Reavers be a prerequisite for the combat drugs related research, instead of Dark Foundry?
