For a military building, it should take 6 turns.
If it takes longer (and your loyalty/energy is fine), it might be your population. If you have less population than active buildings, then you get a malus.
Make sure your loyalty is in the positive (or at least not too far into the negative)
You can increase unit production speed by building more unit production buildings On standard settings, having 3 of the same production building will be enough to enable you to build any unit in 1 or 2 turns.
Every faction can research a building that will increase the speed of constructing buildings in your city.
What is fine? I assume nothing is negative? If power is negative for example that will massively increase the cost of all production.
Given all the facts there are only a few possible solutions.
1. You are not playing on standard speed; buildings should be 6 turns or faster except for the building that makes buildings faster.
2. You have negative loyalty
3. You are playing with a loyalty penalty as a function of difficulty.
4. You have more population required than you have available.
5. You are attempting to make high tier infantry/vehicles with one production building of that type.
Yep. Plopping down two infantry producers at the start can leapfrog you ahead of the AI on early game troop production.
But even with them that woud be hard on normal game speed and without Bonus to yourself at Turn 20, when you dont sprinkle at least one dedicated Building for Requistion in.
Problem was population to some degree (not enough) and the other thing was that i only had one infantry/vehicle/Production building. Building two of each dramatically speeds that up. Did not know that. Guess its the same with (most) other races. Havent played all of them yet.
