i was kinda hoping Primaris would've been a last, seperate, dlc faction and we would've gotten Genestealers this year

I thought that since gladius took place before Indomitus crusade the primaris would be a last arrival faction, and that there would option to be separate or mixed with the first born. This would've given something keep interest in, while factions like Leagues of votan got time to get more units.
Other factions that could've come before would have been chaos demons and custodes
Genestealers might have been an easier faction since they could've had some imperial guard units and seemed to be one of the more fleshed out faction

I was on Team Chaos Daemon, but Genestealers were a close second for me. To be honest - Custodes would have been my least favourite faction ... I thought that they simply made no sense as a concept for a Gladius faction ... but Primaris Space Marines? I WOULD have picked Custodes over them.

Oh well ... grim, dark, uncaring universe .... I guess one shouldn't be too surprised about a bit of misfortune. Let's see what happens.
