I like the idea of the maleceptor, but feel like it needs at least a small buff. Its slightly tougher than other units of its tier, is a synapse unit, and has a support ability to reduce the damage adjacent units take, however it is expensive, competes with the exocrine for research/initial building, and has negligible damage to any unit that is not completely broken. By the time you can research and field a maleceptor you should already have several synapse units on the field and you don't really need another expensive one. Its support ability is on a 3 turn cooldown making it worse then the much cheaper venomthropes (which deal decent although generally not amazing damage) since theirs is a passive ability. Finally even if a unit is completely broken they are only able to deal similar amounts of damage as an exocrine to the same target.

Would like to see its support ability turned into a passive aura and maybe have its attack ability get an extra attack (2->3). It would still do pitiful damage against anything with decent moral but at least it would have higher situational damage, which could help justify its high cost.

In the beta, the Maleceptor receives its 6 missing HP.
Its psychic skill also ignores armor (it "only" has 8 AP currently).

It's good enough, it's a very strong unit, it doesn't need any buff.
