Er, it's not about "rights", but about viability.

Votann doesn't even have a full army in 10th Edition 40K. :b

I don't consider it to be an bumper. GW had announced their return, more than an year ago now. They plan something for them, for sure.

I am sure that the devs already know bits of info concerning their army.

Just an question of time.

Welp its gonna be a min I do hope there 2nd release wave comes out in the later half of 2024 but I don't expect gladius would launch a dlc for them in such a tight window even if they did. Which could still not happen 40k has like 27 factions and the roadmap we have doesn't have them making a potential appearance until fall 2024.

We're likely to see Genestealer Cults before we see Votann

Yeah, let's ignore Chaos Daemons which are far more viable. Besides, Votann is such an important part of 40K. I can't understand why they weren't included in the base game and instead we got less significant factions like the Space Marines. Give us Votann now! All 3 units of them!

Which is ok for me, honestly.
The more factions, the better.

We just get Drukhari, in term of popularity level, I don't think they get very high.

Beside, the intentions of the devs is to have all possible factions to play as.
Not just SM.

The Votanns get revealed, an year ago,
get the time to WH to plan something. As the person before you pointed.

In term of faction I don't know many things about the Chaos Daemons, but I get that they could have an solid roaster.

So, I view no reason, to not include, both factions, in the future.

There's no way a faction without a current tabletop army would be given to a game dev company to flesh out UNLESS that's some huge company like CA with Warhammer Total War. Unfortunately GW just wouldn't let that happen in this case. Not crapping on the game, but it's no comparison in terms of how much money it's raked in and how many people play, and that's what would get GW to consider something like this.

I'm sure GW want to relaunch the Votann sometime, but they're not going to appear in Gladius first.

In some cases an upcoming faction has been preceded by a roaming fauna unit that relates to them in some way. For Tyranids it was the genestealer cultists, for chaos space marines it was the chaos cultists. Each appeared shortly before the announcement of the new faction. More recently I've noticed 1 or 2 demon related fauna units added, so perhaps a chaos demons faction would be next. I would also like Genestealer cults as a faction cause they're pretty unique and would give some lore-accurate team play with a tyranid faction.

Grey Knights would have a legit reason to be on Gladius, but as a faction not sure how they'd fit. They're basically better space marines with warp powers, so there'd be a lot of overlap with original space marines and could make them obsolete.

They need more units. 2 vehicles is not enough.

Honestly, I really want to see the Custodes, just to see the bloody hoops the writing team/writer would go through to justify what the hell are Custodes doing in... where exactly is it? Is it even in Segmentum Sol, or is it somewhere ridiculous like the Koronus Expanse (which, for anyone not knowing, is on the very edge of the Segmentum Obscurus galactic halo, basically the edge of the galaxy).

Votan are mentioned in the second Dark Eldar mission.

I'd be fine with Votann - more the merrier I say - but they'll have to deviate from the tabletop roster to fill the army out, especially on the vehicle side.

Votann had a decently impressive launch (when talking in terms of model range) and then just... stalled out.

They write about a flayed Votann skin. Could be a hint, could be not. I hope it is NOT, releasing Votann would be a terrible decision.

Dark Eldars were mentioned in the Sororitas quest, and here they are.
Votann are mentioned in the Dark Eldar quest... I mean you can deduce whatever you want of course, but there's precedent :)
