More air for chaos

Another deamon engine for chaos? Come on, they need another air unit like the hellscourge bomber, if that whats it was callled. Im so sick of late games where the enemy just spams the helldrakes. It makes me not want to play against chaos.

I agree that chaos needs more air, but you probably have to wait another year for the next unit pack.

Yes but Chaos also needed a powerful end tier unit. The Defiler while strong it was kind of underwhelming compared to some other T10 choices from other factions. The Greater Brass Scorpion is much stronger and more able to go toe to toe with opponent T10 units, plus it looks really cool!

Hi Disco. I believe you are referring to the Hell Talon Bomber (https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Hell_Talon) or the Hell Blade Fighter (https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Hell_Blade).

Sadly, Chaos is unlikely to get either. Games Workshop just announced they are discontinuing both models from their range, and they are completely sold out. With them gone, I doubt we'll see these in a game like Gladius.

Why? I mean, since Gladius is technically based mostly on an older version of the rules, it might still get one of those, but why discontinue them? I thought they were really cool units to own. What will replace those?

i guess they mean more like "we dont produce them anymore for a while, but it will come back"
hell i waitet nearly a fealed Decade before i got Land Raiders ( i startet when they where made of Thin, soon after they gone out of Production, but where still in the Codex, it needed several years until they came back as plastic kits... )

Probably because the ONLY game that I know of that featured a Hell Talon was Dawn of War Soulstorm where it's inclusion was hardly worthwhile.

Soulstorm was a trash expansion and all air units were badly implemented anyway.

But you see why the Hell Talon would likely be discontinued at this point, Games Workshop was starting to push air units for the tabletop at the time Soulstorm was in development so because of this push they requested air units be featured in Soulstorm (Relic and Games Workshop had a good relationship since Relic brought Warhammer 40K to life in a way that thousands of books could only dream of) but the engine for Dawn of War just wasn't designed for air units, plus since the development of the game was done by Ironlore they likely didn't have the experience Relic was hoping for.
