Help! How do I build new Tyranid Cities?

I've got my starting city going but I dont see how to build the unit that let me found that first one. The option to do so is probably staring me right in the face but I've tried multiple Google searches and I havent found a thing.

Anyone mind doing a quick post telling me how one builds the Tyranid's city building unit?

Was this your first game ever? You need to unlock the desired technology first, it is usually a unit within the 3rd or 4th tier. Malanthrope was it?

You need to research the Aedanthropum (tier 2 research), and build a malanthrope from there.

Just FYI: Unless you play the Marines or Eldar, you always start with whatever unit can build your cities. So you could always just start a new game and check it out.
