Still have to complete the rest. :)
However, the actual mechanics of the Campaigns are pretty basic and repetitive. Especially the endgame that can be tediously long if you have already pretty much defeated the other players. Haven't found the proper balance between triggering the quests too fast (dangerous) and too slow (boooring) yet.
The very first campaign I completed - Guard - actually worked very well - the spawned waves of campaign enemies were actually threatening & my Ork enemy was still alive and well when I finished.
A more fleshed out and varied campaign system would be better, but I still enjoy it for what it is.
It def needed a campaign and it also needs WAY more Warhammer art.
I'm not ungrateful, I'm really happy they made the game, it's fun for what it is, a sandbox to play with the different races.
I've played all the way thru Orc, Marine, and Necron and the lack of Campaign and the single map eventually bored me. Also the different factions kindof all play in a similar manner.
Unlike, for example, Starcraft 2, where with each race while the resources are the same, they all play in a vastly different way, Gladius is just churn out as many units as possible, grab as much land as possible and overwhelm the enemy as quickly as possible.
Maybe they'll make a Gladius 2 with more flavor with a series of Map based campaigns.
Also the Cut Scene images for the different races were pretty similar, which is really sad because there is an INFINITE amount of Warhammer Art to choose from.
I wouldn't compare it to civilization either because in Civilization there are like 100 different buildings to choose from and technology trees.
Comparing Gladius to Civilization is like comparing an Eldar to an Orc. =p
