How to use Boon of mutation?

I can't seem to get the demon prince's ability to work.

You need to have researched one of the boons of chaos on the research screen. And have infantry units around (that have the Champion of Chaos trait in their profile, most do) that don't have all researched boons of chaos added to them yet. IIRC there are 5+1 boons total to research, 5 permanent boons that improve stats, plus bloated that just self-heals for 50% of max hp after each kill, and can't be given by the Boon of mutation ability.
