Query: Necron Deathmarks, shouldn't they be a thing?
They're in 7th edition, more or less every faction have snipers now.. why no deathmarks?

Just curious. And slightly wistful ;)

Completely agreed. I would also like to see Warp Spiders, Dark Reapers or Fire Warrior Breacher Teams! :ranald:

Admittedly, I'm playing Warhammer 40k Battlesector currently. There's a number of units there that.. I would not mind seeing in Gladius. Now, Battlesector is on a slightly smaller scale and the biggest stuff isn't there. It's also 9th edition, which is worth keeping in mind - some things have different names, or just isn't in 7th edition.

Lokhust Destoyers -> Heavy Destroyers
Hexmark Destoyer -> no equivalent (Deathmark origin destroyer lords, technically.).
Overlord -> Also existing in 7th ed but not in Gladius. Would be nice, but understandable.
Plasmancer - Cryptek variant I *think* also exists in 7th edition, but not in Gladius.

The rest seems fairly well represented. Gladius, in fact, has a lot more than Battlesector, even if Battlesector's the shiny new kid on the block.

There's a couple of things in the Tyranid roster in Battlesector we dont' have here, but not much - and the ones I checked weren't in 6th edition.

As for Space Marines/Blood Angels, the Gladius space marines are not the Blood Angels, and the edition differences are qutie numerous; it seems a futile enterprise to compare the two for someone only moderately versed - or interested - in the edition variances.

Another thing that would be neat would be the option to buy faction specific wargear at the trader's (or a trader building) - peripats or resurrection orbs for Necrons, iron halos or other relics for Space Marines, etc. Or buy them at the HQ. Probably a good reason why that's not an option, but... oh well.

Looking at the SM Captains dmg reductions i woud say they already included th halo in that. not sure if it was the 7th edition that automatic included that equip on them, but it was in 2 editions there basic equip.

That could very well be. Not played the SM much; primarily Necron, Tyranid, and AM. Hordes FTW. (Oddly, not orcs).

In 7th GeeDub removed the Cryptek disciplines, so Gladius Crypteks have the abilities from four branches - Chronomancer's Chronometron, Plasmancer's Solar Pulse, Psychomancer's Mindshackle Scarabs and Technomancer's Ressurection Orb. Also, I think that when they reintroduced disciplines in 9th, the Plasmancer's model was the first one - hence his appearance in Battlesector.

And also I don't know how exactly Gladius loicencing works and certainly don't want to, lest I completeley lose faith in mankind, but it is certainly not limited to the 7th edition units, or else we wouldn't have units such as Mechanicus aircraft and Pteraxii.

Good News! Deathmarks were just added a couple days ago.

Maybe some players really like role playing Necrons.
