Build and tech order
What build and tech order do you like to go for each of the factions? What strategies do you normally use?

Heres an example
SPACE MARINES
Tech
Frag Grenade ->Reclusium-> Dormitories -> Krag Grenades -> Devistator Marines -> Librarian.

I will try to put down an Apothecarian right away. If I get a three tile I will often put it in my main hub. Then I will start building Tactical Marines Right away. I will then get a Reclusium and my first hero.

I rush to Devestators and spam as many as possible. I have been overlooking the armory in my recent games. Especialy for the early part. I spoke with some others on discord though and they believed devistators wernt worth it at all and went straight for Predator tanks.

What strategies do you use for your factions and what build orders do you deploy?

We're currently testing some nice buffs to AM, which are planned go live with the next update (along with a lot of other balance changes):

- Labour Corps resources from 6 influence to 4 ore and 2 influence. This opens up new build orders and synergizes more with their economy.
- Edict costs from 40 influence down to 20. They were just priced too high compared to other factions' +10% upgrades which even counted for all cities.
- Bullgryn resource cost down from 80 to 60, as those were just too overpriced.

those are some nice changes, looking forward to them

So am I!!!! I love the AM but they are the weakest faction. I wish the AI in general would, while playing as AM, would build sOME infantry....thanks for all the time, effort and love put into this game! Its very appreciated! :steamhappy:

Good to hear! I'm seeing the AM get eliminated a lot during FFAs by other AIs before I even find them (usually before turn 60, sometimes as early as turn 40 on Very Hard).

Especially when playing at higher starting difficulties, I usually see the guard AI's lasting longer than the rest.

Just played a few at lower difficulty settings, also lowered AI and then AM really struggles.

Yes it really depends on your level of difficulty.

Regarding SM:
- Massed Devastator builds are generally meant to stalemate the battlefield while you aim to get access to terminators. It's next to impossible to push into your territory, but it's also impossible for you to push offensively too, because devastators just have no HP and can barely move + fire.

- On the flip side, a predator + thunderfire cannon build (add dreadnoughts, and eventually terminators) allows for more action in the mid-game, but predators are certainly worse in constant combat than devastators, since devastators have 3 weapons to the predator's 1.

The most effective AM build I've seen (which still isn't very effective compared to the other factions) is this. You basically ignore heroes in early game, and go for massed vehicles (sentinels, hydras, basilisks, and leman russ BTs).
The reason it doesn't go for infantry either is because infantry... well... every infantry build I've seen loses it's whole army in MP around turn 50-70. It just doesn't transition well, and having to build farms in addition to ore buildings is a total mess for AM who only have 6 population cities (aka. 5 construction slots).

Techs:
Manufactorum, Grenades, Cult Mechanicus, Rites of the Machine Spirit, Hydra, Sanctum Imperialis, Basilisk, Hab Block, Ore Edict, Leman Russ Battle Tanks, Imperial Bastion / Recovery Gear, Improved Frag Casings, Camo Netting,

Research (2/6)
Manufactorum (3/6)
Ore (4/6)
Cult Mechanicus (5/6)
Manufactorum (6/6)
Disable Research, Manufactorum (6/6)
Hab Block (6/12)
?, activate research (8/12)

Expansion:
Energy
Ore

Awesome. Not sure if you are still on the forum, but reading your old threads have helped me a lot!

I hope this thread gets revitalized with more builds. These are some of my favorite discussions.

Indeed - especially with the new faction(s)!

I've long stopped playing (playing Langrisser Mobile now on PC / tablet), but your posts did bring up notifications of old threads I subscribed to lol.

Glad you find those build orders useful!

Langrisser looks like something I'd buy, but it isn't out on PC till 2020, it says? Or are you using non-English or non-Steam version of the game?

They're re-making the original games from the 90s, yes.

What I'm playing right now is Langrisser Mobile, which is a Gacha strategy RPG for PC, Android & iOS. Unlike most gacha RPGs though, you can do quite very well as a F2P.

You can get the PC client from https://langrisser.zlongame.com/
