Super-heavies!
So the Tau have the Absolute Unit the Stormsurge and the Eldar are getting the Wraithknight (looking at the achievements) and the Orks have the Gorkanaut.

This gives me the impression that there'll be a unit expansion pack that'll add similar super-heavy walker units for other factions too.
For instance the Space Marines could get the Imperial Knight, while technically not a part of the Adeptus Astartes sub-faction they seem to be fielded alongside the elite Astartes most often.

And for the Astra Militarum with the increasing number of super-heavy walkers entering the battlefield they could get a specialised variant of the Baneblade such as the Shadowsword which is intended to be an anti-super-heavy unit with an absolute chonker of a main gun that blasts through the likes of Wraithknights like swiss cheese and makes other Baneblades feel insecure. Technically intended for putting Titans on their ass but there's no reason it couldn't be fielded against these Titan wannabes.

Chaos naturally being the dark mirror of the Imperial military could get their hands on Chaos Knights, the twisted and corrupted opposite of the Imperial Knight.

The tyranids I suppose have already gotten a roster-boost in this direction with the massive Scythed Hierodule, making the carnifex look piddly in comparison, so its looking hopeful for the Astartes & Chaos Marines to perhaps get their respective variants of the big ol' Mech Knights.

I'm pretty hype for seeing Wraithknights and hopeful for Imperial Knights cause I love those units and the only other game I've seen with them was Dawn of War 3 and we all know how that turned out :steamfacepalm::steamsad:
Gladius is the best thing I could've hoped for and I've been delighted to be along for the ride on its continued development, all my love to the dev team for the dedication, hard work and passion. :Gifting:

AM already have a superheavy unit, the Baneblade is old in TT terms, it is the almost first superheavy unit.

Idk to me the default Baneblade doesn't feel like it quite cuts the mustard in comparison to the likes of the Wraithknight, Imperial Knight, Gorkanaut and so-on.

when you face a unit that shoots 7 weapons in 7 directions and one is a superlarge aoe template and that has several HP (even in first ocurrence the Baneblade got several HP instead of 1 like every other vehicle got back than) in TT, trust me, that IS a superheavy unit. a normal vehicle coud onyl shoot max 2 weaposn back than (speaking of the ruleset when Baneblade first happend)
there is a reason Baneblade came out with Armageddon Ruleset and it was a braindeath cashgrab idea of GW to allow Armageddon Units in normal Scale games. they ruined the game balance alot.

Well then maybe it needs to be touched up a bit cause in Gladius it certainly doesn't measure up

My team and I are working on an Imperial Knight full faction mod currently. We're probably about 2-3 months off release, there will be a preview around the time of the Eldar release.

The only thing that lets the Baneblade down is movement i use them for base defence most of the time. I see the Wraithknights being faster, hit hard but less health and armour.
