Tempestus Scions
Out of curiosity I don't suppose there are any intentions to expand the current factions with more late game units, for example tempestus scions for the imperial guard?

That would be cool.

I figured it'd be cool if the higher the level your guardsmen got, including all their upgrades, the equipment began to appear on the guardsman. So if you got a Vox-caster upgrade, one of the guard in the squad will have the Vox-caster on their back, then they'll have a frag grenade at their belt, etc, etc.

So say if a guard, somehow, managed to reach level 5+ they'll get a reskin to a Kasrkin or a Tempestus.

They could literally double the unit roster, and it'd still be incredibly small for 40k. I'm glad the game systems are all in and working now, but the game looks a very long way from complete in terms of content.

I am actually hoping unit customization is added eventually. So you research krak grenades, but you'd need to pay +2 ore or whatever to add it to a particular unit of guardsmen. Or you research carapace armor, and pay +5 to apply it, same thing for adding squad weapons and equipment. Pay a little for the vox caster, pay a little to exchange a lasgun for a flamer or what have you, etc.

I like this idea very much. It reminds me of the nice mechanic in Pandora where you had a research part and an industrial part for the implementation of new global techs.
