Carnifex needs some Love
As far as i remember Carnifexes in the Tabletop were this huge walking (almost) unstoppable tank killing Machines but in this Game i find them kinda meh. If a Liktor deals more Damage to Armored Vehicles than a Carnifex i would say there is somethingt wrong. Just my Thoughts! Discuss!!!

Yeah, I noticed this as well, definitely needs a good boost. It's the same with Killa Kan for the Orks, first off, they look way too small and they are very weak overall.

If you dislike the sizing of units you may enjoy the Immersive Scale Mod in the modding category ;)

Carnifexes with no upgrades are really weak. After you've got every single one of their upgrades . . .they are still really weak.

They are UBER squishy, like a single devestator or heavy weapon team is going ruin your Carnifex very quickly. They don't seem to go toe to toe with Dreadnoughts well at all either.

Lictor are basically better in every possible way

My main problem with them is they lose health while away from synapse which means they are half dead by the time they get to battle sometimes and given the research you need to make them half decent, they disappoint when battling. I'm starting not to build them when zoanthropes are tankier and do more damage plus building a second building for production of them has other benefits like research rather than building the carnifex building.
Still experimenting tho cause I want carnifex to be good, maybe with the upgrades to harruspex in open beta might make those worth building

Yeah, threw me off the first couple of times when they were essentially dying in the field with no intereaction or attack from the enemy. I was stumped to what was going on, thought they were being attacked somehow, LOL. Definitely a huge letdown in comparison to how they are portrayed in the W40K universe.

i upvote this, and devs should do something about it

This is how I feel. Reading the beta patch notes, I am dishearted. I was hoping for more and more especially for Carnifex. Well put on how he is still really weak post upgrades. I was thinking it would be like the Russ and be pretty scary, and then super scary after upgardes. Instead it is a kitten, then a slightly miffed kitten several upgrades later. Whereas a Lictor is a beast from intitial research.

Which is stupid since they never ever needed a synapse nearby on the TT rules. :/

Yes i agree, and cause of this reason i have a snyapse creature babysit the carnifexes till they get there i want them to (Stupid tho). Also this problem is solved with tunnels which you get to far lategame.

I think the reason why they're units are so squishy is due to the Tyranids being that their play style revolves around swarming your enemy, so units are normally more squishy then expected (for balance reason) due to the fact they can swarm you pretty quickly if the Tyranid knows what it's doing (AI have a little trouble with this, but as a Tyranid player, you're fairly hard to counter once you enter mid-game), if they made it so Tyranids units were stronger and were more like how they were described, I would think either the resources to make them or the production cost would be far greater (which still wouldn't be a problem at later game due to the fact you would have multiple of the same unit constructing buildings)

Although, I could be wrong and the Dev's might still have a bunch of updates and rebalancing for the tyranids.

It is not about making ALL Tyranids tougher, just make the Carnifex a little more like the lore. The rest is fine (Except Termagants i hate them with passion) but i wouldn`t mind some light buffs :)
