Honestly the trick with AM is to absolutely spam the hell out of Leman Russ' and Basilisks. Seriously. Your infantry will simply not stand up to anything, at all, ever past the early mid-game. If you find yourself getting spammed my Space Marines the best your infantry can do is absorb the shots that would've hit your tanks and MAYBE get a hit in with their grenades before they get absolutely pulverised by anything more powerful than a peashooter. If you're able to attack someone early on you should be able to take out a relatively early game enemy with massed Guardsmen in front of heavy weapon teams and Basilisks behind.
Late game you can just crush everyone under the slow and steady treads of your Baneblades, using Valkyries for flanking attacks with Stormtroopers and Bullgryns (which will die).
in the TT i see the AM walkers useless, but here they shine with all they can offer.
