Awesome DLC but some units are missing
So far I'm having a blast and I am grateful for this nice add to the game, though I am surprised that some units are missing in game, for example the introduction of the Chaos campaign shows the Chaos Terminators but I can't find them in the developing tree, also one of the most iconic melee units are absent, the Warp Talons,Death Guards and Rubic Marines as well.
I hope that they will add them in the future as a mini DLC.
Anyway this is not a critic to the expansion, the models are so well done and they really made a superb job, just wonder if more will come.

Warp talons are in there I’m almost positive. Also chaos terminators are in but they are called something different, obliterators I think.

Thank you for your reply Blue-Ice,actually in my second campaign against Nids I was able to produce Talons but still can't find the Terminators,if you know what part of the tree I need to research to get them please tell me.
Anyway this DLC is a blast!
Chaos Terminators are under the name Obliterators. That is the unit in the tree that you are looking for. It should be close to the end of the tech tree.

Thanks a lot for the info and help Armageddons.
Was struggling in finding them.

Arn't Chaos Terminators and Obliterators two completely different units in WH40k?

Also after looking at the unit file for Obliterators in the game they are using the Tactical Space Marine model.
Looking even further there are four other Chaos units that are using Space Marine models, Defiler, Havoc, Venomcrawler and Warpsmith as they appear to have no models of their own.

That's definitely a bug on your end and not natural at all. Every Chaos unit has its own unique model.

Like others i have no legacy 1.3.0 OpenGL in beta.
I am going by what files the Chaos DLC patch installed yesterday to the game.

The 1.3.0 OpenGL should be up soon according to the devs, it's in Slitherine's hands and we don't have word on exactly when it will be.

Obliterators are not terminators, they're different unit. I think devs didn't add them because there're already same tier units. I wanted to see that iconic units too, chaos hero could be in terminator armor at least (:

As others have said, Terminators and Obliterators are two completely different units...

Chaos Termies are the elite veterans of the chaos warbands wearing super power armor and an assortment of heavy weapons either melee or ranged, same as normal space marines termies.
They are usually quite distinguishable because of their tusks.

Obliterators are chaos space marines who have been infected with a technovirus and have fused with their armor and weapons into their body, being able to produce weapons suitable for any role hence their versatility (Las-cannons for vehicles, powerfists for melee, auto-cannons for infantry etc).

People argue that they both fill the same role, but i wouldve loved to have seen chaos termies in this game.
They are always left out and i cant think of a game where they are playable (None of the DoW games except in mods).

Hopefully a reinforcement pack down the line will introduce them and a few others like noise marines or even rubric.

A greater demon would be nice also.

So Chaos Terminators aren't there?
How weird, because the introduction of the campaign shows a Chaos marine in Terminator armour.
And well said Lynx,I would also love to see the Rubric in a future mini-DLC.

MUTILATORS are the daemonic equivalent of Chaos Terminators, just how Warp Talons are the daemonic equivalents of Raptors.

mutilators are melee version of obliterators. Chaos terminators are supposed to bring a balance of firepower and melee or be able to dedicate to one. Obliterators and mutilators are dedicated to one role. They are supposed to be tougher and stronger then terminators.

Yeah it's weird that we've got Khorne Berserkers, but no Noise Marines,Plague Marines, or Rubric Marines.
