Dreadnought or Terminator
How these two compare? I use both and I would tend saying Terminators are more powerful and versatile overall, but not to a huge extent.

Dreadnought are easier to research and cost slightly less. They do well against armored opponents, but not so against weak infantry. As they have only a single figure they preserve firepower up to their last HP.

Terminators... They hit everything darn hard! But they are made of 3 figures, so weaken when they take loss. They are higher tier also, so more difficult to research.

I like both, and I feel they somehow play the same. Opinion?

the dreadnoughts in this game are super underwhelming.
i mass Termis and they are my main army backbone, they can kill all very fast exept flyers.
bruh, its different tier units, Terminator (2 tiers higher, thats HUGE) is of course better at everything than the dreadnought.

The dreadnought is a niche unit for mobile armor piercing purpose mid games if you are on the offensive (The only other thing SM has is the Devastators, which BTW are more defensive orientated and are like papers, or the grenades, which are 1 time used with long cooldown).

TBH though, against AI, u dont need the dreadnoughts, like ever, but against Human players, you'll appreciate this unit.

the dreadnought is a waste of resource even before you can research it, that i mean with underwhelming. Machines/buildings? Devastators make a better and faster job. infantry? hell even tacticals kill them faster than a Dreadnought....

Yeah probably. This could have been balanced with costs and upkeep though, but Terminator are rather cheap, both in production speed and in upkeep. Now Terminators with an upkeep of 5 would be more appropriate, these guys can do almost everything.

I feel some units could only be balanced if in limited number, like techs that unlock more 'availability'. Say when you discover terms, you can have only 2, and then you have a repeatable tech adding +2 each time.

When was the last time you see a human player walk their machines into your devastator ?

Just saying.

So you move and park them for 1 turn in the forest correct ?

While with the Dreathnought, thats a 2 turns worth of damage.
