I'm going to play it next, thanks for the info! :)
Within a Deep Forest: Contains some fairly important information about the backstory of the setting and a certain major character in Knytt Underground.
Knytt: Completely unrelated aside from a hidden reference.
Knytt Stories: The Machine, A Strange Dream and some custom level are subtly referenced, but nothing major.
Night Sky: Judging by the fact that one of its areas has the same name as a location in Within a Deep Forest, it seems to take place in the same universe, but it doesn't seem to have any connections to other games.
Saira: Knytt Underground explains some of its backstory in a bit more depth.
The Great Work: One side quest in Knytt Undergound explains how this game is connected to it, but it's not much.
So overall, Within a Deep Forest and Saira are the only ones that really matter unless you want to understand every single reference.
Given that you've already played Saira, I'd recommend giving at least Within a Deep Forest a try before playing Knytt Underground. The rest of them also have some similarities in terms of gameplay though. But keep in mind that all of them have very simple plots, so you shouldn't expect too much from any of them story-wise.
