8/10. Arena mode sucks compared to classic. Campaign is fun tho

After playing over 20 hours of this games story and mostly the Arena mode here's my review. To start off I watched the Madness series since I was in Kindergarten. My parents didn't like me watching the series since I was young and it had blood and gore, but that didn't stop me from watching the series and other flash films that are like it like Bunny Kill. I did want to kickstart the game but I didn't have a credit card at the time to do it so I guess to show my support I got the game that my friend that I know IRL gifted me that I owe back. To start off I played the demo which was pretty good to start off with to get used to the controls. I did the training mission to get used to the controls and I think you get a achievement for doing it. There's playground mode that you can pretty much test weapons on enemies that are in the game to see which weapon is effective against what enemy. For certain enemies with shields or that have armor you have to weaken them by meleeing them 5 times and wait until they get angry and attack while you dodge them and get them from behind and take their helmets off or deal some damage to them. For the enemies you shields you press the middle mouse key to hit them so they are stunned and attack them when they are down. The story mode has you play as 4 different characters. Hank, Deimos, Sanford, and Jebus. There is a extra character you can play as but I don't want to spoil it. The story is that you have to get to Nexus in Nevada and stop the villian of the game becoming a god or something. There are a few different places that you go in the game. A few places are outskirts, the city, the sewer, the facility, and other places that I won't spoil. There are different enemies in the game that can be hard to deal with unless you get used to the games mechanics. There's the Agency Against Hank Wimbleton aka A.A.H.W. The grunts, zombies, sewer zombies, abominations (I hate these things), Mag agents, robots, soldiers, etc. There's a lot of weapons you can choose in the game that are helpful in your quest. The melee weapons, smgs, pistols, lmgs, rifles, grenade launchers, laser weapons, god like weapons, throwables like grenades, flashbangs, etc. There were a few things that annoyed me in the game is that when too much goes on in the screen the game lags and makes me do things that I don't want to do. Also in this one there are characters from the main series you might recognize that have a camo appearance in this series like the employee of the year rich and others that are better looking and more character to them. There are medkits, ammo cases, and other stuff to help you out. You do find documents and computers that give you notes on what the game is about or give you clues to get through certain sections. There are 4 difficulties to choose from from easy to veteran like. On easy it can be hard at times when you get surrounded by a bunch of enemies. There is tac bar which is pretty much your armor and if it gets taken down a lot from you or to the enemy it can be bad because it can damage your health. You can block, dodge, hop over cover when you press space and so on. For certain characters they have abilites that can make them use C4, hack computers, and so on. Also the music done by Cheshyre and Locknar are so well done for this game that match the music that made the madness series fun to watch with the music playing in the background.

Now that's done now for the Arena mode. The arena mode starts you off with a character that you can create with certain attributes that can make your character good or bad with melee weapons or guns. I choose the one that doesn't make you have a disability with them both which is the grunt. At first when I played the game I didn't know you had to use the dummy to level up so I had a hard time getting my butt kicked in the game without leveling myself up. There's a weapon store that you can get guns, melee weapons, and armor for your character. There are armor selections for the face, googles, body, head, and so on. There is a weight limit for your character so don't try to put everything on at once until you can think of a weight budget for your character. You can recruit ai grunts in the game that can level up as they keep on fighting. There were points in the game that I got stuck because I dodge somewhere I wasn't supposed to and had to start the whole wave again from the begining. There are different places in the game that you will fight in the arena. The training facility from the flash game Project Nexus. There are other places like a train, a industrial facility, outskirt place where you defend something, a haunted house with ghost, nexus facility, and so much more. If you want to get more weapons in the store you have to do missions outside of the arena and go around the city to find people that can supply you with weapons, and armor. There are tokens that can help you get skins, and accessories that can increase certain attributes to your power. The city stages can be pretty tough at times because you can't bring your squadmates along which makes it pretty tough when you have to beat multiple people at once without help. There are medkits that can help but it's pretty rare to find in the game. For leveling up there's for melee, bare hands, guns, and acrobatics. They can help you increase your speed, dual wield weapons, dodge faster, increase accuracey with weapons, faster attacks, and so on. There are waves where you have to fight multiple people and then move on to the next area or stage. As you play the game you get stronger as you keep playing and it's pretty rewarding to keep getting better at it. You have difficulties the same as the one in story mode where you should start off with easy then veteran difficulty. There are ones where you have to do the arena again in order to I think beat it completly which makes the waves more tougher as you keep playing. The weapons I use for my character is a rifle with a katana since it has higher durrabilty and the rifle has a good magazine size. For certain weapons you can upgrade them and mod them with sights, different mazagines, barrels, muzzles, stocks, etc. There are different places where you have to use money in order to upgrade your facility. There are weapons that are pretty special to use that are pretty good depending on how much you want to spend on them. There was one place that go annoying outside the city that I had to do it more than 3 times because of how many times I died from the amount of enemies killing me. You can get back up which cost money and can help you out defeating enemies. You can pay for more in the base to increase the amount of guys that come but takes a lot of money out of your currency. You do get drops from enemies that either give you infinite ammo, tripple damage, speed boost, money, and invincibiltity for a limited amount of time, but not for money. They can dissapear when you don't get them in time. There were points I was going to get it but the enemies keep on blocking me. If your squadmates die you have to pay money in order to revive them or wait until theres a discount which I never do because I have a lot of money in the game. That's about all for my reivew I give this game a 8 out of 10. There were more things that were going to be added in the game like online multiplayer but the kickstarter goal wasn't reached. If there's a Project Nexus 2 coming soon I'll definitely buy it. One of my favorite songs from this game is Industrial Complex because it reminds me of the music from Payday 2. Still waiting on Madness Combat 12 Krinkels take your time. I will still keep playing the game until I'm bored with it. Hope my reivew makes you want to get the game and have a good day.

And ive been waiting for this game since I was 10 years old
I can say it was worth the wait and I enjoyed every second of this game. I haven't enjoyed a game that much for a long time
So far I can say that this is my new favorite game
The gameplay, graphics, music and everything in this game is 10/10
