9 Mods I would like to see. For fun.
I just wanted to share a few ideas of mods I would die for once modding support is implemented in the game.
These mods would be mostly to customize my game experience to my own personal preference and might not be for you.

1) Permanent madness mode:
Simple concept; the player and all enemies always have their health reduced to 1/5th like in Madness difficulty, regardless of the difficulty setting.
I love how fast the game becomes in madness difficulty. It feels so much more fun than any of the other three difficulties. But im bothered by it being a locked difficulty mode (which btw locks itself again in arena) instead of a toggable setting unrelated to difficulty.

2) Cosmetic armor slots:
The game offers a pretty generous amount of cosmetic variety for arena mode, but the available armor is kind of unbalanced and there's an extremely obvious progression of armor that barely changes even between two characters with different weapon preferences. So it would be nice if you could straight up just hide your actual armor and only show your own unique look. So you can look like a smoking agent all game long without compromising your stats.

3) More armor effects:
Like I mentioned before. Armor progression is kind of limited. There are some armor pieces that are literally always preferable no matter what, with the exception of maybe for looks.
There are a lot of armor pieces and sets which feel kind of disappointing to have generic stats like most others when you know armor can have cool effects besides more defense.
I would love to see a mod that adds cool gameplay effects that compliment new and interesting playstyles, or stuff that just feels thematically fitting. Having tricky's mask be a generic metal slab is just kind of lame...

4) Legacy XP system:
A common complaint that I share with a lot of players is the XP system of the arena mode. Which encourages players to exclusively use a single type of weapon for entire waves at a time, and punishes you for trying to use your entire arsenal, and specially your weak skills.
So like many others, I think having a generic XP system, would simply improve arena mode. Get XP after a wave, and spend it on whatever you want. Reduces incentives for boring grinding, and lets players to make the most out of all their skills without punishing them for it.
If you really feel like this would be too unbalanced, I suggest a simple addition to this idea; X1.5 increased XP cost for all skills, except your strong skill. And X2 XP cost for your weak skill.

5) Stronger Origin abilities:
You might have noticed that I focus a lot on arena content... And one of the most important aspects that PN2 added was origins. Basically classes which change your strengths and weaknesses to shake up your game and let you focus on a specific playstyle.
However, a lot of origins are *very* disappointing. And some almost feel no different from the Noob origin. Others have abilities that are straight up useless (im looking at you imaginary friend...). But I know characters can be ridiculously strong while still being balanced and fun! such as with "The Massive" which is the only one that actually does shake up the gameplay significantly for me to notice, feels cool to play, and still remains balanced.
I want a mod that makes these origins ridiculous, but thematically fun. Like the agent being able to reload two pistols at the same time, or the disquieted teleporting much farther using melee weapons while also teleporting on dodge and attacking much faster with melee weapons... Maybe even origin abilities that you buy using XP.
The possibilities are endless, but the vanilla ones just feel too shy. Except the massive. I love you massive <3

6) Better shields and blocking:
I just dont personally like the blocking system in this game. Feels unrewarding and almost pointless, like it was made for a completely different game. So I'll go quick over this one;
While you hold a shield you block automatically bullets and blows from the front at the cost of shield durability, much like the riot guard does.
Blocking and unblocking with melee weapons is nigh instant, and blocked hits are parried automatically at the cost of tac-bar and durability.

7) Better throwables:
I actually do like throwables, but feel rather weak, as they have very limited ammo, are less reliable than guns, have the same disadvantages as bullets, and nothing to compensate for it.
Simple change. Throwables deal x3 times tac-damage and x2 damage. Granades remain unchanged, they are fine.

8) Personal loft tweaks
In the Arena mode you unlock the personal loft quite late, despite being the only way to change the physical appearance of your character at the cost of tokens.
2 important changes. You unlock the personal loft as soon as you finish the sleepwalker program mission, and any cosmetics you buy from the loft (like faces and blood color) remain unlocked forever, even after imprint. thats it. Increase the token price if you want, I just want something permanent to show for.

9) Point blank aim
Shooting enemies at point blank ignore tac-bar. Thats it. I just find missing point-blank shots very frustrating.
This could go both ways, increasing the difficulty. Or just make it a gun skill you can buy for XP.

Lots of great mod ideas. I personally feel the Arena mode is in major need for improvements. I especially love 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8. I feel like with 8 you shouldn't spend tokens though, especially since those tokens should be given to Crackpot for special bonuses and stuff, not for...yourself? Who are you even paying for when you customize? I feel like, at most, it should be free, and at least, cost money to it, at least around 1000 dollars. I also feel it's stupid for it to cost Boon Tokens for colors. Colors are already very limited in the game, so having to spend rare currencies on them is a waste of money.

My personal mod ideas are.

!. Free Colors: All types of colors are automatically unlocked once you get the colorizer, and should at least grant you more customization, such as the ability to add your own custom colors with a hex code.

2. New Game plus item carryovers: I feel like there should be a special chest or something that allows you to send specific items to, so in the next run, you can access them in a way that feels like you did not waste money on them at the time, *especially* if it's the Minigun or Boon Token items. You can even balance it out by making it cost 5 boon tokens, so that it isn't OP.

3. Custom Music replacer: Don't get me wrong, the soundtrack for PN is great, but I do feel some tracks are pretty weak, especially Gestalt's theme. Plus, I simply would like to add my own music tastes to the game, especially music from the original series soundtrack and from the Somewhere in Nevada soundtrack.

Yeah. And maybe make the chest only accessible after a certain mission/arena has been cleared.

The stupidest part is that boon tokens are not carried through new game+, also the items you bought with boon tokens are the same. It's already hard to get more of these tokens and the fact you lose it at every new imprint just feels like boon tokens have zero purpose since the vendor only appears near the end game.

If boon tokens and the items bought with it is carried through each imprint it would give players a reason to replay the game with extra advantages. I mean even the augments are just a tiny bump in advantage.

At the very least tokens could be refunded into NG+, if the item carryover isn't possible.

Agreed, it pisses me off too. The base colors are so lackluster and dull I was at least expecting the colors to, at the very least, be carried over. Plus, why does it have to take until the *end game* to get extra colors? It's just unnecessary.
