not to mention the only thing you gotta do to get quickly on your toes is level up melee to 2 which means you gotta save 1225 melee exp, and you are set, and you get melee weapons at the end of the first stage mission, it shouldn't take more than 20 or so minutes to do first stage once to get melee weapon and skill level 1 and 3 times murder room killing with only meele to get melee skill to 2, same if you want to go for unarmed focused, and if you want guns you just gotta do abandoned outpost on normal with 2 hirelings or more to tank some hits while you kill everything, any of this will take you less than an hour to do
"but I've been absolutely unable to bother starting a second character even with the optional tester headstart bonuses" Although in hindsight that wording actually implies I never started a second character, but I did. I just couldn't be bothered getting it too far.
It's still a pretty tedious affair overall, but I guess really that's just Arena mode by design. I suppose I'm just hoping that the early parts of the progression curve require less grinding in future.
Game was kickstarted, so backers at a certain Tier has had Beta codes for a while
