♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I'm going to try this right now. Also currently stuck on the cat fight.
Alt-Tabbing definitely works, but I will also try your suggestion of disabling the overlay and report back.
Issue with alt-tabbing is in the mutant sixth grader fight theres a realtime mechanic regarding the floor tiles, so you really want to be able to switch back to the game immediately to move your characters. I quit playing for a bit during that fight because the pausing got so infuriating.
So far, that seems to be it. If you have stuff to tab to, then the game will soft lock?
If anyone else runs into anything contrary to this, let us know, I guess.
For the record, I do love this game and the previous one. Just trying to enjoy it without running into roadblocks as best as I can. Good luck.
I played the game with close to 12 things to tab to at any given time and only froze on the MF fight.
Guess I'll just wait for the patch.
It's well-known that this game has a whole series of weird, unpredictable problems that appear related to what video card you're using. Anything that kicks your video card or swaps window order can goose the game into working for no clear reason.
Thanks mate, that solves it
