Stuck in Mephesto's Lab

Ok, so I just did the fight with the cats and I am supposed to go to the 3rd floor, I go through the door and I get to a room with some toxic waste on the ground blocking my path. There is nothing I can interact with to get past it, if I pause and go past it there is nothing to trigger. The only interactable object I can find is some wires that can be hacked but the buddy point spawns on the opposite side of the waste, what am I supposed to do here?

How did you fight the cats.. due to some reason my foe will stuck at battle, no other options to do anything other then restart from last checkpoint.

I wish I could help you but the battle just worked for me, I am playing on the PS4 so maybe it is a PC version issue.

yea i cant progress on cats battle. As soon as it gets to whom ever is in the top right corner the game locks up and nothing happens..... Cats move first, then my character then the person at the corner as the game freezes.....

For people having the game freeze during the fight, I had the same issue pop up throughout the Lab. Only way I was able to get past it was spamming the Escape key (to repeatedly open and close the Save/Load/Options menu) whenever the issue came up.

For me it worked when i alt + tab then the battle started moving again.

I was stuck on the cat fight and alt+tab solved the problem :) thanks @RickHi

p.s. it happens several times during the fight

Yeh, I remember that I had to tab several times to get past that fight.

I just started playing this game again after a few years and using the alt + tab helped with this freezing issue on pc. I’m so glad I looked for comments of this problem!
