As far as I know, none of the pooping mini games will make you use both wasd and arrow keys with button presses.
So it will be
WASD + ARROW KEYS
WASD + BUTTONS
ARROW KEYS + BUTTONS
WASD
ARROW KEYS
BUTTONS
So only those 6 patterns. Its still awkward, however its not stupid impossible as how it seems when you first try it.
That being said, I played with a steam controller, and frankly the keyboard was way easier on the pooping sections than the steam controller.
I am in the process of setting up some changes but for just starting out a game it was pretty hard with the Default Setting for the Key Bindings.
Not being able to use you L MB or R MB & the SW in the settings is a big mistake.
(EDIT: This thread is one of the first few results on Google when you look up anything related to KB+M keybinding or rebinding in Fractured. Idgaf about this being "grave digging", this will get more visibility and thus be more useful to people).

Comments:
Developers refusing to adjust input schemes based on the unique differences between input devices (usually KB+M) always piss me off.
Some of these are the 'default' when you download and open the game for the first time, but are not the defaults used when you reset your keybinds to default (for some reason, WASD is fine when you first start the game but is used for targeting in the 'defaults').
I wanted the toggle-mode buttons set up to use the pinky and thumb so that they don't interfere with movement inputs on finicky stuff like activating timefarting to catch something very quickly or toggling your inspection mode on and off so you can quickly toss your farts and stuns before initiating combat.
Action, Punch, and Fart are the three primary 'interact'-like buttons used in the game so clustering around E, R, and F are much more comfortable. "Fart" seems to get used a lot more so you might like it as F instead of Punch since F is used in a lot of games as a secondary-interact, such as looting in Guild Wars 2.
I don't know why 0 is the default for the ultimate power. My arrangement makes more sense to me, but you might also like '~' as your ultimate button so that it appears as shown on the screen. I use an MMO mouse all the time, so it's not difficult to use any of the numbers, but you might not like reaching for 5 to use items, and might enjoy something like V or R instead.
