Putting in ddraw.dll into main game folder crashes the game, running on windows 8. :/
how do you find 'winecfg" command prompt, PC Settings search..? :)
Tried a lot, lowering mouse DPI
Patching, picking compatibility.
Red Alert Screen Extension. :/

Hi everybody.

winecfg is the wine configuration program. Wine is a GNU/Linux program designed for executing windows programs on a GNU/Linux system.
Therefore, if you are running Windows, you are not concerned.

Don't make the confusion between winecfg and wincfg. Winecfg is not an undesirable program, wincfg may be one.

Hey

I found a solution that worked on my laptop. Its kind of a strange fix, as it has to do with your monitor settings. Check out this link : http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/7223/tutorialcopy.jpg It was made for Red Alert, but it worked. Even if the issue in the picture is not as you described, I had the same issue as you described.

Please post if it worked for you.
Hi can you tell me what was in the picture, the link is dead. So can you remember what am i supposed to run this game :(

Hello everyone, I try to run the game on Windows 7. I reduced dpi rate --> it did not work, mouse and game is still frozen while hearing music, but I can hear the buttons working in the background. I downloaded the patches aqrit.cfg and ddraw.dll, opened it with text editor and changed the values --> same problems as described above. I renamed the video folder completely --> same problems as described above.
Does anybody has a further idea what to do? Thank's a lot in advance.
