SOLVED: No Servers at All on Xbox One X
Family member played yesterday and today. Logged out for dinner and came back and logged in to a blank server list.

There are no servers at all on the join list. Here is what we tried:

Making sure NO filters are blocking any server types
Force quitting the game
Force shutting down the xbox
Clearing local saves
Uninstalling and reinstalling
Updating nighthawk router configs
Shutting down and restarting nighthawk router
Installing it on another Xbox in the house
Splashing holy water on it
Glaring at the Xbox
... and a number of other things

No dice. No server list on any Xbox in the house now. Please help.

(Edit)
I’ve also tried using another Xbox profile
And restarting the modem

NAT type is open and all other mmo and survival games installed work as intended online.

Tried to force my way into a server using the Xbox join game.

Got a “Secure Connection Failure” error message. Maybe that something to do with why we can see any servers.

Any thought BI?

Are you still encountering this issue? I just double checked on my xbox and I'm seeing servers fine.

It seems like your household in general is failing to connect to our masterserver in order to populate the list, as well as our encryption service, which is responsible for generating encryption materials shared by your xbox and the server.

They are both Azure web app services, and neither are reporting any failures. I'll see if I can find anything on our end that would indicate a rejection or failure but so far we're not coming up with anything, which suggests your requests may be somehow getting dropped before even reaching our servers.

Hi SOuNDSNC,

Thanks for the reply! I checked again and it still isn’t working.

That sounds logical. The part that gets me is that it was working. At one point we had two Xbox’s connected and playing at once.

Once those got turned off and a little time past, that’s when it stopped showing a list on both of them. (Maybe that helps)

Is there any other troubleshooting you can think of that I could try on this end? I think I’ve tried just about everything that I have control over.

The good news... awesome game! I hit you guys up with that 5 star love on Xbox reviews.

Thanks!

Hey Verdict,

Just spoke to a guy on discord that was encountering a similar issue. It turned out that our certificate was being rejected by the xbox because the xbox had a custom DNS configured such as opendns or google. Are you using anything like this?

Excellent! I was using openDNS. I switched to the ISPs default IP for DNS instead and it’s working now!

I see the full list of servers again.

I’ll go back to openDNS in the future once there isn’t an issue.

Thanks again. Great support! I’m spreading the word on Citadel.
