spell casting feedback
i would like to get an idea what current players think of the new spell system?

A lot of people are saying it's bad but as a new player starting yesterday I see it as very balanced. You keep your weapon and armor if you die but it's not a weapon that will last forever. Weapons have durability and spells have charges and cost mana so even if you get some amazing weapon with an amazing spell it won't be static gear it can be broken and will need to be re-enchanted. Everyone who is complaining is just pusing for a less balanced system.

I haven't played since the start of EA but I like this system, although a lot of the spells are too weak to even be used compared to others. They should add multi-element spells too.

it's pretty nice, I guess balance is relative here, like you could learn any spell so long as you have the materials. But what will be better is to craft spell and let that spell be embedded in your brain/ memory. also it wouldn't hurt to add hotkeys for multiple spells, some spells are useless compared to others as well.

honestly though, would you pick the beam spell or the instant cast lightning bolt that deals high damage with AOE?

need to have a limiter here like a cast time for op spells. (basically reveals players when casting like they're lighting up or something when they are using strong spells.)

I just don't like you are limited to 2 spells on your hotbar. They either need to make switching through multiple weapons better or increase the hotbar limit.

It is a cool concept to craft spells but it's tedious since u can only have two spells per weapon. So either u need to carry at least 10 of every esence in the game or multiple weapons with each spel eqiupped. I rather want the ability to equip like 9 spells on one weapon and use num key of each spell respectivly.

Also this new system pretty much made wands and gauntlets useless since u can get the same spells but a lot stronger on the melee and staff (except for beam spells i think, but theyre ♥♥♥♥ anyway). Before the wand was at least good for rapid fire and range, now it's like a bad staff.

Not quite right you have 2 spells for each element that are specifically staff and same for wand (not sure for mittens and melee). They line up with the old staff is good damage but slow and lends itself to AOE and the beam type spells are more inclined to wand.
