private server

So I have a question for the devs or if anyone knows if they already answered this will consoles have private servers? I know this game has it on the pc vision and the reason why I'm asking is because my friend is thinking about getting it on xbox since he doesn't have a pc plus he knows I played it on pc before and asked if I can get it on xbox so only me and him can play it together on a private server so I got it before he did but didn't see the option to make a private server looked it up and only saw that one of us has to rent a server instead of just hosting a free private server.

ok but are you guys planing on making it where we can host a free private server on the consoles any time soon meaning we don't have rent a server?

As of right now there are no current plans on hosting free private servers on consoles.
