I'm not sure of the exact timer, but its a decent amount. ARK, IIRC, was about 15 minutes and this seems comparable.
Recently I died way up the coast from the newbie starting area, and I was able to take the time to gather some junk, forge myself a new axe, enchant it, forage for food and chop down 2-3 mushrooms, AND fight a big pack of birds, all before finally walking up the coastline to find my body. It was still there. Was easilly more than 7 or 8 minutes there.
The dropped bags though... they're probably about 5 minutes for the ones you throw on the ground. The ones that pop out of your forge / campfire though, I don't think they go away. Or at least they're subject to DSL, because I went on a HUGE adventure at one point for like 2-3 hours, and came back and realized I'd left my salted boar meat sitting in my fire.
