Rowan wood

I wish to hang the heads of my enemies on my walls (animal heads decoration pack) but the only thing I'm lacking is rowan wood. Anyone happen to know where I can find some?

Grow rowan bushes, wait for them to grow fully, then let them die (you can do this by not giving them any more water from the sprinkler or manual watering). Once the plant is dead and the interaction prompt says "Remove dead plant", harvest the dead plant to get 48 Rowan Wood. You can also get a much smaller quantity from deconstructing frozen essence.

is the fertilizer necessary or is it only for growing crops faster? and how do i manually water plants?

The fertilizer is a requirement while the plant is growing. Once it has reached full growth, you can just use water without any fertilizer. To manually water plots, look at the plot and hit E to interact. Then look for the water droplet (hydrate option) and click it. It will use the mana from your player to manually water the plot.

"... not giving them any water" then we need an option on the sprinkler to switch them off instead of deleting the spinkler or the nearby mana node. I don'T think the current state is a good solution.

indeed, like this its quite problematic.. and having to destroy the sprinkler is kinda dumb and a waste if mats

No worries, we have changed Rowan Wood to be it's own plant now (and it has a new name, new plant and everything). You can grow it and harvest the wood from the plant just like any other now. You do not need to let it die anymore. This will be present in the next update :)

Frostwood Sapling is now the source of Frostwood (Rowan wood replacement). You can get seeds from deconstructing Kylma flowers to get Kylma seeds, then crafting Frostwood Sapling seeds from the Kylma seeds.

I'm getting into farming but it doesn't let me use the mulch to refill my sprinkler. I've tried holding E and spamming E, doesn't work. It just keeps giving me the message "Need fertilizer"

use the green potion of fertilizer for the sprinkler. you have to unlock it on the knowledge tree.

Is your sprinkler connected to a mana generator? Your sprinkler must be powered by a mana generator in order to work. Learn it in the knowledge tree, then build a mana generator near your sprinkler. It must be in range of the blue sphere around the mana generator to connect and refill mana/power. Then, while your plants are growing, give them Hobart's Growth Solution OR manually add mulch to your plot. Once your plants are fully grown, they no longer need fertilizer and just need to be watered. Hope that helps! :)
