The pvp servers have been getting wiped like this by 1 or 2 people every 3 -4 months. If you play on a pvp server in this game, right now the state of things is expect to log into nothing lol.

If your really want to build a base, go to a custom or pve server.

It is super hard right now, between lag making combat hard, and all the bugs / glitches that make a base impossible to defend, pets disapearing, base being abandoned and decaying, just saying don't expect much out of it. There are lots of fun things to do, and if you plan accordingly you can still get a ton of fun out of the game.

Even if hacking isn't involved. 1 max level player who has been around for 2+ months should have enough gear and resources to wipe their server 10 times over.

Just a flawed game right now. A max level player should still be capable of dying to a bunch of mid levels coming down on them... sadly that just isn't the case. Even in ark, a low level player can knock high end players out with a club, or bola them then start crossbowing their face. In rust, well placed shots on an ambush can still take out veterans.

Just no real hope to speak of in this game if you are starting anew or are a new player in general.

problem isnt being new i think, I think it is that theres not way to defend your base while you sleep, not when theres 100 people playing on 20 servers or so , not enough to have a large enough group to cover 24 hours. So vet or new you have no hope.

The dev's were made aware of this months ago when I removed the entire playerbase from an official server, sad to see it hasn't been resolved.

And it never will be.

Just like with most EA survival games, this one is just moving way too slowly for it to have a true 'end' in its development phase. My guess is that it is going to be scrapped soon. I would love to be proven wrong, but history says otherwise.

This is why I haven't played on a pvp server in a few weeks. Im now the highest level player on the pve server i play on, so that's cool lol. It sucks getting your base wipped/raided every 2 or 3 days.

it should take a single player weeks to get the mats to flatten a large base not a few hours. I t Should take 4 or 5 people at least a week doing nothing else, to get the mats to flatten a large base. Now a high level player can get the mats in a few hours solo. There has to be a way to make it expensive enough so that it is not the focus of the game so often. if it takes weeks to get the stuff to do it you end up with more of a arms race being nervous to use stored mats , for fear of not having enough to retaliate if they get attacked in the next few weeks. In a place where theres no real cost you have to make Something expensive enough that people dont want to loose it by attacking.

Yeah, I imagine they could just make the siege damage potions way harder to craft and require a item to that only has a chance to drop from a dungeon boss to craft. or like 1 in a million to drop from a boar, for the lols.

a rare drop that only dropps enough in a week for a single seige so to do a seige the group either has to save up for weeks or get every drop that week , its got lots of ways to do it , they just do not want to.
