You find light essence and craft the utility spell, gives u taming u can tame creatures up to 10 levels higher than you. Taming lasts anywhere from an hour to 2 hours. You can extend it with raw meats and cooked foods. So far Bread and wine are the best increasing to tame time out of all foods

i just tried to tame a lvl 2 wolf, it was exhausting.. why is the taming process so long?? omg, even on a low lvl creature..
is there a way to speed it up?

not even worth taming anymore when u consider the times the foods give compared to what we use to have

Yeah what am I missing with taming now. I played for awhile on release, i find it hard to believe that the taming process time has increased dramatically, if they hit you it stops the timer. If you get out of it's LoS it runs away. Any thoughts?

They are meant for raid cannon fodder..not to keep tames forever xD

You need to do the Pokemon thing, bring the HP down and you can tame in a normal time

Indeed, weakening the creature reduces taming time.

I’m going to help all you guys out. This has to be the easiest survival taming I’ve ever done. Build a wood fence pin. Leave one piece out. Hit animal run inside. Animal runs in Put fence piece on. Animal now stuck in pin. Hit down to low health. Tame. Don’t know why you would run around chasing.
You can also chase things into pin but a little harder.

Or just jump on a high rock and the creature can't attack you. You have just to wait the end of the taming ^^

A lot of creatures will run when low health. This method keeps them from doing that.

even powerfull creatures like dragons flee? or just creatures like wolves, elks and such? and is it possible to use a pen for dragons and such too?

btw, are there low lvl flying mounts to tame or just from lvl 20+(like the eagle/owl or whatever it is)?
Wait, so we have to take a while to tame an animal, and then we don't even get to keep it unless we spend even more time farming ingredients to make scrolls that we have to keep putting onto the animal?? We can't permanently tame an animal, is that what everyone is saying, or am I misunderstanding something??

You actually cant even make scrolls anymore, you can only find them as rare loot

Taming as a mighty wizard involves shoving meat down their throats all day long...ooh lala
