How does magic find works on crafting and loot?

How does magic find works on crafting and loot?
About crafting...
1) Should I stay close to the bench for my magic find to do effect?
2) Does the 10% mf of the Demonic Eye work when I eat it before I craft anything? Will it last through all my crafting queue or should I keep on eat it?
About looting...
1) Should I eat a Demonic Eye before I kill something or just before I loot the body?

magic find activates directly after you equiped an item * with magic find *

the effects activate instantly and it highers your chance to get * higher grade items *

like when you are busy at forge your chances to get epic is way more with magic find then without

I kind of know that part, but my question was more about... do I have to eat, for instance, the demonic eye before crafting and will it give me the 10% magic find all through out every queued items I am crafting? Or do I have to eat demonic eyes constantly during crafting? And the same question is about killing mobs, do I have to eat demonic eye before I attack the npc or just before I loot it? Thanks for the help.

umm, makes no sense, since it gives 10% magic find improve so I do want to eat it at some time to increase my chances but I don't know when, that's my dilemma

I had the same problem with crafting stuff that takes 4min plus so I tested it

Eat demonic eye then craft, as soon as the production starts the item is generated and then you wait to claim it
