PVE and base building bland?

Looking to buying this game but all I can really find is PVP stuff and little PVE. Seen too many "survival" games make base building pointless.

So I build a base give it awesome defense and just turns into a place where I store my junk. Mind as well make a box and thats that.

So there are some dungeons, thats typical. Are there any dynamic events? Timed or otherwise? Can't find much information in this regard or much on PVE for that matter.

From what I'm finding and reading this is a pretty standard survival mmo and I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Well, of course. I didn't even need to advertise my Citadel server before people started coming on.

PVE is bland and mobs easily defeated. Environmental visuals are beautiful. This game has the best custom building, so if you want to build the castle of your dreams, this is the game for you. Also you can tame and ride animals including dragons.

Yeah, but you need scrolls and potions to extend their tame time.

You dont need scrolls or pots for tames, all u need is food which is very easy to get
