Upgrade base from wood to stone ?

I have just unlocked stone, I tried placing the stone floor over the wood floor hoping that it would upgrade that way but it doesnt seem to work.

If I want a stone base willI have to create a new base or is it possible to upgrade wood base to stone ?

ATM, you may have to demo and replace, piece by piece, which sounds positively horrible if you have a large base.

It's just quicker for you to just make a new base and delete the old one
