Viking Conquest: Strange Ruins please help

I looked at a bunch of discussions but none of them are helpful. I've watched a video showing them clearing the ruins but they only had a handful of men to fight. I had at least 20-30 guys through the entire ruins. I'm at a lose, the enemy is mostly slave hunters and they have javelins so my two companions have their shields break instantly just to get pelted and out numbered by 5 different guys in melee.

at the starting point is a type of court with one entrance. That is where u fight. Put your strongest companions in the corner with a pillar between. Then it is your turn to lur the enemies and dodge all javelins. There lur them in the court and fight 1-3 at a time. As the AI is dumb they wait at the entrance. Try to make them waste javelins into the wall by peek a boo around the corner. Hopefully your companions are still alive and you havent lost hitpoints. Then go to the dungeon. And always make them waste javs with peekaboo, and kill them in small niches. take shield and javelins from the corpes and throw them back(just the javelins ;)). This should work when u and 2 comps have heavy armor in 1-3 tries..at least for me.
