What is the full story of Mount&Blade Viking Conquest?
I enjoy the story mode added in Mount&Blade Viking Conquest but I find the grinding way too over the top. At some point, I was in Denmark and needed to make the majority of lords like me so I won't lose my head in a trial that wasn't even my fault. It has an interesting story but it takes too much grinding to advance in the story.

For those that finished the story of Mount&Blade Viking Conquest, can you please make me a summary?

Here's what I know (spoilers ahead):

In Netherlands I had to so some tutorial quests and help the king fight some rebels. After that, (noble X) who initially helped me wanted to plot against the king. I went to the king and told him, but the king didn't believe me saying that I am plotting against him and (noble X) told him about my plot. So I was forced to leave Netherlands in a few days. I left for Denmark, because that's where I heard my mother was being held captive.

Over a conflict in a village, the brother of the one who held my mother captive attacked me, I defeated and killed him. Then the one who held my mother captive accused me of murdering his brother (xoxo) and before the trial could began I had to win the support of the nobles. I don't remember if after at or before that trial, but I had to go to Norway in cave to retrive something important, a lost map or something. I was found innocent at the trial but the Dannish were planning to invade England and the lord who held my mother captive deserted and went for England. He also believes my mother is some sort of goddess due to his mythology.

Meanwhile, a group of monks invited me to a monastery in Ireland, I forgot what I was doing there but I remember some people wanted me dead when I left.

Actually, it is optional to gain or not the lords like :) Gaining it will help you at the council, but you can continue your story without that too.

Wow, an actual dev responding, didn't think you guys are still interested in this game considering the release of Bannerlord 2

Good to know that.

By the way, I previously made a suggestion about a possible Bannerlords DLC:
https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/real-life-dlc-idea-wallachian-wars-with-vlad-the-impaler.435900/

And I previously made a suggestion about final updated for Warband and WFAS:
https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/final-updates-for-m-b-warband-and-m-b-wfas.391923/

I don't have high hopes for them, but it's a nice thought to know that they were at least seen by a developer.

No grinding needed in the storymode. I know because I finished it on "Impossible" difficulty.

I did most of the story and here is what I remember:

A massive Fleet of notthmen leaves for England Sven backstabbs the fleet and there is/was a bunch of naval battles I barely understood /barely remember

they land and rally and you have to sneak into some place then do some randam go see people and fetch quests - and you have to choose between Supporting England or the Northman - some compainions will leave your party

It all culminates in a MASSIVE battle between the Northmen and Saxons

Which I am not joking took 2 REAL hours to complete...by the end your part will likly be dead or knocked out - most of your allies will as well your sheild broken several times your horse dead your weapon broke as well possibly (can't remeber) and standing alone in a field that once contained several thousand men with a silver of health

Hard to describe that feeling tbh

Sounds really cool.

What happened to your mother though? Last time I remember, Sven held her captive.

Sven backstabbs the Northman fleet, does that means he joins the English or is he a renegate?

What is the story's end if you win the massive battle on the side of the Northmen and English?

I'll tell you what happens next,Basically i fought on behalf of the kingdom of West Seaxe. After the battle ends, the allied lord,I think his name was Alfred or,something comes up to you and gives you 10000 penningas as a gift for your service and tells you the location of Sven Bull neck, the one who kidnapped your mother. When you go there,Sven is there waiting for you with your mother, you exchange some words with him and then you attack the compound. After you have successfully taken the compound you head inside a tavern to confront sven where he kills your mother in front of you and after a brief fight with his men You kill him(mind you it is a tough fight as you have only 3 other people with you and he has 8).Then you and your men hold a funeral for your deceased mother and that is it.You can either choose to end the game there or you can continue as a normal warband game.

Its a Beautiful story, and I would like to thank the Viking conquest team to make such an amazing DLC.I really enjoyed it and it is such an improvement over the Native game.
