third post down has a bunch of mod lists. i have been looking specifically at the VC Balance Mod. it looks more like what you are looking for.
note: i havnt tried it yet. playing a nice viking right now, because being a king without being nice in M&B is hard and playing M&B without eventually being king seems pointless to me. Next time i play i may try a mean viking playthru and make a claimant king. ill use the VC Balance mod for that
Really feel like they missed the mark with the idea of how a Viking operates.
We should have a way to still trade and do business through other means, for example we could have someone do it for us without anyone knowing they operate in our interests. It's weird that in some aspects they instantly recognize you and others they don't know you. LIke the village elders and mayors, for one thing they will say you are enemy of the realm and can't do business with you, but then will still sell you goods and treat you like a citizen. There is just no consistency.
Will check that out, thanks
Edit: Going to try out Blood Eagle mod, hopefully that will be better
Blood Eagle 4.0 has (with permission) integrated most of VC Balance Mod 12.0, so it probably has the same changes as the above.
