Cunning is a fairly good personality. They generally do fine in a player kingdom with a little management (in particular, they are reasonable on the issue of who to grant fiefs to if they are asked in advance, being generally agreeable about supporting currently fiefless lords, so you can usually avoid a relations hit there by asking in advance). They also are fairly cooperative in how their strategic AI behaves.
You will face one problem as a female king in VC though--your husband won't throw feasts for you. But you have lots of other options to keep relations up. You might check out Lynxbuckler's post here, from Day 6823 of her female campaign, where she discusses how she maintains order in her far-flung kingdom: https://www.reddit.com/r/mountandblade/comments/7sbgk1/oct_7_886_day_6823_3_cities_20ish_castles_left_to/
As for the problems female characters face in VC, I was well aware of that, but thanks for reminding me of that. I must keep in mind I'm not playing on easy mode (male character has so many advantages, imo). Guess the developers wanted to make it harder for female characters, so we had to "buy" everyone to keep the kingdom united then?
About that post from Lynxbuckler... just WOW. It's absolutely amazing. Reading it makes me understand why many of my playthroughs were just ruined. I had no clue kingdom polls existed (I know I've got lots of hours in this game, but I'm not a very smart player. I just enjoy hunting bandits and making those sweet denars/penningas), which explains why it got so tough for me to keep things going well between me and my lords. I just wanted to please everyone, even the bad-tempered lords. Guess I need to make them hit the road. Thanks once again!
No, sadly it was because of a bug. You can read the details here: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=339624.0 CeltiberoCaesar said: "this feature was disabled due to an error in native that might provoke further bugs."
Yep, she's a very methodical player. Check out her interactive map as well: http://shrubtech.ddns.net:8080/mnb/viking_conquest.html
I invited her to join the VC Balance Mod development team (she's a coder), and she started working with the rebellion system a bit, though she ended up deciding against becoming a modder (which is probably the sane choice, as it tends to come at the price of actually playing). Still, the map she made is a great gift to the player community.
