Making a peace with a faction
Allright, I conquered Frisia and installed meself as a king with 33 right to rule, -1600 reputation and over 2000 renown. For half a year I've been beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of invaders (waging war with 12 factions), "both sides have suffered in a conflict and peace treaty is likely to be signed soon" game tells me. However, no matter how many emissaries I send out no one agrees to my peace offer. I feel it is some kind of bug. Should I seek out their kings and ask for peace personally? Maybe capture a few of their settlements. Don't really want to expand outside Frisia borders, but it seems like it is conquer or be annoyed by raiding parties situation.

This is a good question I hope someone can give insight on. I'm in England and pretty much wiped out NorthEmbrye where they are just down to one city and and they still won't offer a truce. While other factions I have been at war with I will attempt to come and take my towns so I will wipe out their invading armies and they will offer a truce after awhile. Though I never attacked any of their towns or castles.

The warband sandbox mode has a constant war system if the AI thinks your position is weak. Have you tried to reduce the aggressiveness of the enemies by improving your relationship with the different kingdoms? You can use the expanded diplomacy system for this, as well as free prisoners and send gifts.

Well, I control all of Frisia + captured all south Denmark up to Ribe. I have 4 vassals, combined might of over 1500+ men. I can’t say I am that weak, besides, they’ve never been able to actually beat me in battle or capture any settlement.

As to relations - I managed to get peace with Osraige and Brycheniog (Some Welsh petty kingdom), who were indeed much weaker, and Danmark, which I almost conquered whole. All of those had negative opinion of me.

What is “expanded diplomacy system”? I don’t think I’ve seen any special options. Neither did I see an option to send gift. Should my Chancellor have special skills? Right now I have Brunhild as a chancellor.

You need to pointed a companion and you should get some extra options in diplomacy matters.
