Watch the markets and pay attention, you'll figure out what's worthwhile and what is a total waste of your time.
There certainly are some goods that have little or no value to traders. Personally, I kind of like that mechanic. Trading requires a minimal amount of thinking. Knowing that just makes my heavily overburdened bag of coins, feel that much more worthwhile.
(Also, there's nothing in the game that will ever ask you to get that crap either)
But never done linen. Just selling it after a raid seems hard. If im evil i sell it to bandit caves or at my refuge for full price
