In a second note.. Dirim is like jerulslum of calridia. It's the main taget of all the AI.
Native to the AI. the ai looks to expand their borders.. so in larger mods where there is no dirim, you will have your closest neighbors attack you first. In native, the borders are so even at game start that you barely notice.
In war, strive for peace. In peace..prepare for war.
You can start a war anytime you want. But you cannot end it when you please.
Some lords will have quests to provoke war- which I don't think you can still get if you have your own faction, but those come from the more pitiless and debauch lords who like to warmonger.
So true, Dhirim has changed hands so many times in my game that it is describe as "squalorous" with it being so poor. Some faction is laying siege to it within a week of it being sacked by someone else.
