STR FILE NOT FOUND

HOW TO FIX: Simpley open your game, when the window puts up, go to option, and select what language you want. then it should be fixed. If it still doesn't work, or i may have misguided you, feel free to ask.

i have a similar problem except it does not open up the launch window it gives a an error message. Any ideas on how to fix it?

@stringedanimal try open the game in admin mode, maybe that'll work.

@lil Rob when the window pops up, go to option, there you should select which language you want.

yo i did not work for me i don't think i tried doing it in the game and not in the game i tried going thru the files nothing and i cant play the game cuz it always crashes when i go to interact wit someone or something and it always says STR not found etc.

STR not found means there's missing lines in the translations files. My English files is complete, so you can download it here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PXJBce-VvUo6hVS3SvVM8t7zdzTXrcOd?usp=sharing
Simply copy paste what is in the folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MountBlade Warband\languages\en
I'm currently completing the french version based on the english one (that's why I was here)
So if a french speaking needs it, I could share it as well
