I think the closest you get to that are the lair assaults, which are mechanically like a mini dungeon-crawl but in open spaces. Though not frequent enough or fleshed out to the point it would qualify as dungeon crawling. At least I wouldn't designate it as such for those seeking that style specifically.
There does exist some really good foundations for that aspect in mods like PoP in reference to the fact it actually has discoverable mines location which could have served as a perfect segway into dungeon crawling or at least a vague representation of it.
That particular avenue of design you speak of is imo one of many conceptually great ideas that the game or modding community never realized, And it really makes me sad.
If you find yourself enjoying core aspects of gameplay but just want to scratch that extra itch, you might be able to tweak the game or mod so that lair's spawn more frequently or similarly give better rewards. The user Gsstar might be of some assistance there.
As for something truly dedicated to the idea of dungeon-crawling, nothing really comes to mind.
It's true, you really can't have everything lol.
Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth has chests stacked with loot hidden in most major cities, and they're very well hidden.
Gloria Sinica has mini-missions, which are entertaining for awhile. Sometimes you can find a chest with base loot in them as well.
Also, using WSE2 will alleviate the majority of your crashing. Believe me, it's worth it.
