Nexusmods is also an internetpage that hosts mods, but you need to have an account to be able to download there. (but some mods can only be found there, don´t ask me why...)
btw, because of this thread I downloaded Gekokujo mod and played it for several hours. It is awesome. If you like Japanes samurai setting, you will love this mod. It is still being worked on, but in it actual state it already is fully playable/highly enjoyable and awesome. And it will get even better...
I played Floris mod some time ago, but it crashed on me sometimes, although my PC should be able to handle it (playing Full Invasion 2 without any problems...and that needs 64-bit and also has awesome graphics improvements) But still, graphically Floris is one of the best enhancements of classic game.
