Map Icons

This is a small thing (there are many more series problems; this is very minor). In this DLC, the map icons change for the player and npcs. How do I make mine bigger? I know troop size affects it, but sometimes an NPC with less troops then me has the full column of infantry with cavalry and everything. Does anyone know how the map icons work? thx
