How do I get income in Viking Conquest?
In M&B, there are enterprises at capitals, but I can't seem to find anything other than owning a castle or something in Viking Conquest (Which I find difficult to maintain an army enough to even fight off bandits without income).

Maybe I'm bad, but the question stands. How do I get income? Is there some early game must-do that I'm unaware of?

What are the repurcussions? Don't towns following that religion hate me?

its simple really 1. raid villages. 2. raid churches (if your a pagan heathen) 3. sack towns and massacre the populace when you take towns (and yes, you can do that and its very satasfiying running down those poor defenceless townspeople xD)

But then there's that thing where I don't have a party cap high enough to take towns, I can have like 44 dudes total, towns tend to have 300 dudes. I suppose I'll do your tips to field an army and then level up as a vassal to someone.

1. Get a boat
2. Get some soldiers (Pagans first later some Vikings)
3. Travel to England
4. Raid churches and Enslave town population and raze the place afterwards
5 Sell the loot in Denmark
6. ???
7. PROFIT :warlord:

Look at some begginer's guides and I'd suggest trying Native Warband first if you don't even know how to make money at the start.

(hint: breweries)

In every capital you can buy a land and have passive income from it. Find a Mayor and talk to him, the land will cost around 14k-18k.

Raiding churches is stupidest thing you can do, it will just hurt you in the long run. Trading is the best way to make starting profit and buy some lands afterwards.

Weaveries are quiet profitable if you want to invest money. Got nearly 1k from Denmark.
Breweries where quiet good in Brytenwalda.

You can buy an enterprise (its in the exact same place as the old in native) talk to a mayor (Guildmaster) and ask to buy land or something.

Remember, in this DLC the enterprises cost WAY more than in native. regular bakery costs 14,5k. the income is whatever is needed in that specific town (some enterprises give you -xxx income since no one buys the products or there is no need.

Best thing is just recruit farmers and refugees to save money. Then slowly attack bandits thieves etc. till you have about 20 people. Then you cant start raiding small viking parties which somtimes contain expensive loot. Also, while your doing that you level your peasent army, which is much more stisfying considering they take so long to level you get to know them well lol. But yea just raid small groups then move up from there, you cant get chainmail quite often which sells nicely.

Okay I was looking for the guildmaster, didn't think to talk to the mayor. Thanks!

Best way to make money though in that game is just to roam around england killing off viking parties and renegades.

in one day it gets you a net worth with high looting skill over 30k if you run alone with companions killing them.

Easiest way for me was this, go around Denmark, visit every village and buy all the furs for 40-50 gold, go to Norway and sell the furs until you hit the price of 200 gold each, then visit all villages and buy timber for 40-50 gold, go to England, sell timber and any leftover furs and buy any wool you find for 40-50 gold. Repeat every time you need gold, and by doing this you can actually figure out what i'm talking about, and who knows you may find a better "trading route" In an hour you should already have enough money to buy yourself a busse ^^.

Also do tournaments every time you see them.

I would advise against raiding churches as it is bugged and you lose a ♥♥♥♥ ton of relation with all towns, basically it can screw up the campaign...
