Since there are like 100 new discussions a day about the bugs in Viking Conquest, and a lot are the same bug post them all here. I'll put the bugs in a list so if they are already on the list, there is no need to post them in a separate discussion. Hi.

Bugs OLD FOR BEFORE 1.4:
1. If your soldiers have slings or the slings on a stick thingy, they will go about 10 feet infront of the enemy and start using their slings or whatever and almost always miss. This is with the starting villagers.

2. Enemies stand in place even when attacking, causing you to have to go to them. AI Stays at spawn the entire time(even with AI takes defensive enabled).

3. Every time I wan't to wait for some time to pass I ended up building a camp and costing myself 1000 pennings when I didn't order that to be constructed.

4. Refugees remake wherever you camp.

5. Eliminated Factions camp outside the faction your in. Leaving them enemies with you, and not your fellow vassals/king. Leaving you with 4 lords attacking you with 500+ enemies.

6. Kingdom of Demmark, Frisia, Norway NEVER leave their country. NEVER, they don't attack anyone, very stupid (dirty cowards).

7. Can't keep a camp up for more than a second. It starts the wait process, then about a second later it breaks camp. It's also affecting travelling from port to port. I leave the port on the npc ship, about a second later it pauses. I have to hold space bar to get anywhere.

8. The main quest has me having to talk to Jarl Sigurd Ragnarsson. I travelled to Denmark and talked to him, but nothing quest-related comes up. I can't continue the main quest.

9. Character dialog is bugged. I am completely stuck on the path where I chose to work with West Seaxe Kindom against Danes. Prior to it I chose to release the prisoner captured in Docinga viking raid and now I am stuck in never ending dialog with him. (fix dialog devs)

10. No throwing axes (Really? There is no logical argument for this.).

11. Basic items that should be available at all times in any port city (lumber, tar, tools) aren't.

12. Tootips for stats are wrong.

13. Units take an absurd amount of experience to level up.

14. Raiding Christian monestaries ♥♥♥♥es off everyone, including pagans.

15. Weapon skills include useless skills with no purpose.

16. Trying to threaten mines, lumber camps, etc. into paying you protection money cuases every one of every kind to act like you threatened them.

17. After beeting Bull Neck's Hide out and making it my own, I strolled around the camp and spoke to a sailor who wanted to fight when I agreed it took me back to the tutorial on the ship wreck and I lost about 6 hours of progress.

18. Also sailors. They are ♥♥♥♥ing useless. More useless than peasants and sailors in medieval times were no push overs for sure. They either need serious weapon upgrade or upgrade tree of their own that Ends in being Veteran Marine or Veteran Sea Raider/Reaver.

19. I also have a glitch/bug. In the beginning of the story is a man you interrogate not long after defending Doccinga, if you let him live after you are done interrogating him he comes back later in the story line. It brings up a page that gives you the option to "hear what a man has to say" and then it shows him, and then you give him your answer then it goes back to the page where it tells you your option to "hear what the man has to say". No matter how many times you answer it loops back, no matter what answer, and since you have no way of avoiding this (unless you had him killed in the beginning or have made different choices in your story than me) you cannot progress further into the game until this bug is fixed.

20. In a winter map, you can see every tree in a forest around you swaying and bending together in the wind... the end effect is that battles feel like some Michael Jackson music video directed by Time Burton. Please just stagger the trees so they're blowing the same way, but every tree in the map isn't synchronized.

21. So far have no been allowed to blood eagle christian monks... wtf! That should be a thing that we can do!

22. Whether recruitment in a town is allow or not is based on reputation with said town, there are no exceptions to this. (Lords didnt ask peasents if they wanted to be conscripted strangly enough)

23. Town Reputation is partly based on what religion you are. (How would they even know what religeon you follow?)

24. Raiding Christian Monastaries makes all christian towns and nations hate you instantly. (Strangly they didn't have twitter or cell phones in 860 AD)

25. I am in Odins cave and I beat all the enemies in it and then Bodo comes to talk to me and it gives me the thing to tell me left mouse click to continue but it doesnt work D: Anyone know how to get past this???

26. Big memory leaks, and all the trees are made out of rubber.

27. There's a random event which player met the ship captain you tortured at the begining to get information out in Doccinga, you can decide to let him join or not, but for me, this scene never ends, after I let him join or send him away, it returns to exact same sequence, I have to met him again to decide, over and over and never ends :(

28. One of my bigger issues is the stuttering I get everytime the game tries to show a new landing point. Sailing anywhere near the coast is miserable.

29. Glitch where the camera in battle will leave you and do death scenes on pretty much every soldier that dies for a few minutes. You lose the ability to accurately control your character even though you can still move. It removes you front first/third person and makes you just another soldier on the field until the camera magically comes back to you. This one is a huge game breaker if not fixed. Didn't start happening until I was in battles involving 500+ total soldiers.

30. I found another one but its only for certain maps the trees no longer protect you from missiles. I managed to get hit with javelins threwded(<--spelling plz) trees which is kind of a ♥♥♥♥ off when you should be able to use them as cover.

31. I am nearly into the mission where I leave with 600 vikings and a text box comes up saying that my companions have approached me and they look concerned when i open it, 3 red sentences come up at the bottom right of the screen, when I want to leave and stop talking to the companion it goes back to the text box again .

32. I'm still gradually losing fps over the course of 30 minutes.

33. Ships sail over land! (I pray they got no inspiration from Rome 2.)

34. Your own camp moves away when you sleep somewhere else and you have to pay big time to get it back.

35. I've found a bug where you go to Ulf's farm. I saved the game before enterring the area and beginning the quest phase. He explained to me that his daughter was pregnant. So anyway I fought the berserk and killed him (again, this is my 2nd playthrough as my first one broke). This time I initially decided to let the kid keep the money, sword and chainmail. But then I had a change of heart and decided I actually wanted the chainmail because it's friggin good (62 to body or something and 28 to leg armour). So I quit the game and loaded back to before the entire thing, and now whenever I go into the farm, the daughter says "sorry I am busy" and Ulf just says "my thralls are lazy". The berserk isn't even anywhere to be found, and the quest cannot progress as I can't get Ulf to help me in the assembly.

36. In the mission where you go Ulf's farmstead to get your mother, the enemies go to the border of the map making it so hard to near impossible to win the mission.

37. Dunno if it's a bug, but I have more than 15 soldiers and when I try to talk to jarl Hrodulf Harraldson I only get the usual interractions menu. So basically even though I meed the requirements, I cannot fullfill my quest because I cannot deliver it...

38. After I chose to side with Northymbria, I was told to find Halfdan to give him my allegiance. But the game tells me he is in a city in Northwest Ireland. I tried going there (which seemed stupid, because there was no reason for him to be there anyway) and he wasn't there. So I tried activating Ctrl+T but he seems to be nowhere on the map.
Apparently he did not respawn outside of the castle after I signed the peace treaty. I read somewhere that trying another save might fix this, but the problem is that I do not have another save. So if I wanted to do that, I would have to start the game all over again...
So, to summarize, Halfdan is not respawning on the map after I signed the peace treaty.

39. I decided not to kill Sven's ship captain, and now, longer in to the mission, he approaches me and want's to join. No matter what i answer the discussion repeats and i can't continue the game...

40. Bodo isn't stopping his speech(infinite loop or no options to continue), so we should play Pokemon.

41. I hate how mail is considered heavy armor and tires my character out after running 50 meters, I hate the huge gorilla bodies and I hate how fast axes destroy shields.

42. Everyone looks like they had a gorilla for a father! I'm pretty sure a monk didn't work out enough to have a barrel for a chest and muscles! Nor the children or women who look messed up and too muscular! Also, the children have adult faces.

43. The first time my character crosses on a ferry he is riding a horse instead of a boat.

44. At the start of the game, when my character travels on the strategic map his head is uncovered and he is bald

45. I had a bug when I was done with the assembly and they told me to talk to asbjorn so I thought oh isn't he at the assembly? But when I went there to "investigate" everyone was gone and i couldnt leave the area so for some unknown reason.

46. If you dont buy the archer stuff at beginning it often means you are ♥♥♥♥ed if you are trying to kill thiefs, because all you have otherwise is that small knife versus 6-9 thiefs with sheep staffs or whatever they are called with 10 times the reach to bash your face in.

47. Knocked them unconcious but it still doesn't give me any options to take the unconcious ones prisoner. I thought that this might have been the issue to begin with so carried on and fought a few more Lords but the issue seems to remain. Like I say, it only applies to Lords as well so far, Ruffian/Bandit groups are fine, so not sure what's wrong but definitely not the killed rather than unconcious issue.

An example from just now. I besieged and conquered the Castle Caer Sws alone, but it didn't allow me to take any enemies prisoner. There were several unconcious ones after but noting happened. I chose the 'Share the loot like it is common' option and then plundered the castle, which then only offered me to take townsman as prisoners. So, is there something I'm missing about the prisoner system now? Have they changed it in someway?

48. I can only point and click on the map a short distance.
Went I point a bit further on a village or castle the place name does not appear and I can't click there

49. Worst thing I had is, cntrl+space on map goes from 60 to 2 fps (nvidia counter)

16 gb ram

50. After the newest update.
The map is very unresponsive ont he top half of my screen. When I click, it feels like my m ouse is brokena and does nothing.

51. My custom groups (ex. Infantry) are unresponsive in battles and don't follow orders, they just hold position.

52. I'm encountering a bug where if I select 'Infantry' during a battle it selects every unit no matter the group they're normally under.

53. So I am laying siege to Dun Foither have built mantlets and ladders but I still don't get an option to start the assault.

54. Another one on the quest The battle: Aescesdun which either side your on the leige lord asks you to get 12 heads of cattle for them and when you go off and do it before you even have the chance to come back, the mission cancels for no reason what so ever and Halfdan Ragnarson is rubber banding back and forth next to Lundenwic. No matter what you do whether it be attack all the people rubberbanding they just end up doing the same thing over and over.

55. The overlay battle function you get when you hit backspace; a list of your units, stance, map etc. only works for a few seconds then the overlay vanish.

56. If you play in the arena/training grounds in first person you lose your head upon death/K.O.

57. The after death camera movement that is featured instead of the original immediate "you have lost the battle"-text is really horrid. Mostly the mouse sensitivity seems off and slippery in a way.


58. I also often get my arms and limbs torned around as I die and the ragdoll effect kicks in, very poor looking. (note: Mount&Blade isn't meant for ragdolls! Remove now!)

59. (This is a replay to 38) I've had a slightly different problem with this. I did found him, but then he asked me to bring him cattle, and so I did. I brought him the cattle but I couldn't finish the quest. I can only say I'm still working on my task. Even if I tell him I won't be able to do it, I don't fail it, and it doesn't change anything, I can still tell him that again. I can't continue on the storyline.

60. Party info tab is empty, nothing is displayed.

61. Well ever since the last patch what ever I attack it ambushes me no matter what.

IMPORTANT ADDITION TO THIS: this bug also affects NATIVE and other MODS. Despite being told it wont affect native, it did, it is irritating that others get PUNISHED for such a buggy expansion of M&B Warband. PLease FIX asap!!!! (THIS IS CRUCIAL)

63. I have a mission to give a letter to Bjorn's brother in Snottingaham (main quest) but he is not there, so I can't do anything before that is fixed.

64. after the last update i don't get renowen from fighting. and at the start of every fight it says "You have run into a trap!"

65. 1 patch.i could start the game..but map gets black.texture fail.it breaks
2 patch.i can start the game properly.do mission,talk and stuff in first village.then all same again.but less lines of texture problems.map still get black spots...and it breaks
and yesterday it affected even native.

66. The farmlands you can buy is just stupid. in every city i can make 200 to 300 gold a week from a brewery. but all the other types of farmland gives me -400 to -600 gold a week. It has been 88 in game days and this is still the same.

67. I tried to ride a ferry near Caer Dyf the ship I sailing for a second and then I appear on the same shore opposing Caer.

68. Sandbox needs to be changes, you can't recruit villagers without 150 renown to get permission, to get renown you need to go questing, to go questing you kinda need some small force, to get a force you need to recruit villagers, and the loop restarts.

69. The optimization is absolutely terrible, I get constant lag and jitters between smooth framerate. This has caused me to die several times and it's extremely annoying.

70. It would be nice to be able to repair or abandon severaly damaged ships at sea. Actually not nice, it's expected and available in every single game I've ever played that takes place on the sea. (Not sure if complaint or suggestion...)

71. In the main storyline when you go back to Ulf's farm before the Assembly, you find out his daughter is pregnant. Choosing the most "honorable" option
--I will pay my weregeld of 4000 pennings to Ulf now, and I will still fight on Ulf's behalf.
will result in you getting +50 reputation and +8 renown.
Reginhard will ask you if you are sure which lets you choose to reconsider. This sends you back to the same dialogue options - allowing you to pick the same option again! You can repeat this ad infinitum.

72. The Siege: The messenger , quest to talk to bjorn's bro in snotingham. ( I am allied with meirce from a previous outing) being allied to meirce totally breaks the story chain because there is noone sieging them to get in to speak to them. Can no longer progress. Bummer dude.

73. I've been getting UI problems like my health and the horse's health not appearing untill I or the horse get hit or I pause the game. I also get stuff on the over world map like the options on the bottom showing up and entire towns and villages becoming invisible but I can still go to them.
I'm getting these glitches on the vanilla game, but I thought I state this here because of these glitches may be the cause of the Viking Conquest patches or actually might be showing up in the DLC itself. If not, I'm ok with this being removed.

74. I left dubh linn on a ship to the english coast and now the ship has bugged out and refuses to move at all, I cant even get raided because there are no vikings about.

75. During the main quest story line, I have sided with Northumbria. However, I can not advance as once coming back from the fight from Bodo I am instructed to wait by Reading for the armies to arrive and one of Ragnar's sons. However this does not happen as they advance slightly out of a city and then just glitch back in.

76. Paying to travel to another port doesn't get me anywhere. The boat either won't leave the port at all, or sails a few miles out to sea before coming to a full stop. They're happy to take my money, though.

77. Finn archers (and probably others) sometimes respond to the commands of infantry, not archers. Sometimes they respond correctly.

78. In the hotfix they created even more bugs. The interface, the camp menu, and the sheet menu are all messed up.

79. (start play sad violin) Everytime I try to create the characters face in VC the screen freezes and on task manager there is no response, I tried with all different options. direct x7,direct x9 low details,high details even automatically settings and so on.
With Mount and Blade Warband everything is fine,so it must be VC.

80. I still crash when I enter settlements.

81. With the new hotfix, "sail to another port" freezes your ship while everything else moves in ctrl-space fast time.

82. Got a mission from a lord to attack an Elite Vikingr Longphort or whatever they're called, halfway through the battle I suddenly respawned on the Vikingr side, as my character, (didn't actually die I might add) so my original character kept running in the same direction as before I respawned and then I had to kill my troops to win the battle, also killed my original character which did a death camera thing then put me back in the battle as my Vikingr side character. Sorry that was very difficult to word :S :L (

83. Everytime I fight vs thiefs it says "You ran into a trap" (or fell into a trap I dont remember).

84. If you have a staff and a shield you can only thrust with the staff, but if you drop the shield you can still only thrust with the staff.

85. Companions: Solveig
I remember that there was event where I was ambushed by some assassins, and a character named solveig stepped in. She got knocked uncouncious before I got to her, and I havent seen her again afterwards. I read that she can become a companion for your warband, but where do i find her? Did I need to have to kill the assassins before she got knocked unconcious or something? If so, then there was no way that I could recruit her as she died from 2 hits of the enemy when i started half the map away.

86. There is a bug where when you need to go that town under siege to tell ragnars brothers to agree to a truce and you have to fight your way through that forest, for me I had to recruit some troops before fighting the party that comes after the forest part. But when I finaly felt ready to continue the quest was impossible to continue because the forest part disappeared so I can't move on.

87. My issue isnt with bugs its with the game. Not enough weapon selection, troops costs are high ( i know its more realistic, but it throws the balance of the game) Scandanavia is a joke, 2 cities and maybe 10 castles between norway and denmark, and where for the love of odin are sweden, iceland and finland. Where are the 2 handed axes, or bearded axes, or throwing axes, why did they change weapon values (longbow 14p wtf). That is unforgivable in a game called viking conquest to be mssing half the norse countries. I think the viking conquest was actually the devs raiding our wallets beore christmas. F U brytenwalda team. FFFFFFFFFFFFF UUUUUUUUUUUUUUU YOU FFFING FFFFITS, I PFFF DOWN YOUR FFGIT NECKS

88. The trees. Oh god stop the trees getting swinged from the bottom to top. And some of them are really ugly, such as the trees in the farmsteads. They look like they got hit by a firestorm.

89. Moreover, The Revenge quest is bugged for me and I'm stuck in the storyline. After assembly and duel in island, the quest said that I should return Ribe and meet with Asjborn. I met him in the mead hall, he joined my army and then the quest never progressed again.

90. Also, after some time, game starts to lag. I noticed that in the first hour everything is fine in terms of fps but after 2-3 hours, it really gets laggy especially in battles.

91. Furthermore, I sometimes hit the second guy in row with the upwards spear attack. I suppose it should hit the man in front of me, not the guy behind him.

92. I cannot sail between ports. If I pay to travel by ship, we sail out into the ocean about 5 miles, at which point I assume the captain gets lost and just goes adrift. The game does not freeze, it moves along as if you were staying overnight at a town, but I can never get anywhere. I had to save it and load the save, but I guess in the process the captain sold me to some slavers because I was suddenly being drug (I think it is supposed to be dragged -_-) around the map by Masterless Men for a solid week before escaping.

93. Ferries are also glitched. I can pay for a ferry, but the sneaky bugger sets sail without me every time. Then I somehow end up getting charged about 8 times for a ferry ride I never got. I guess I am paying for the whole town to cross. At one ferry I managed to escape the continuous glitching back to shore and decided to take the long way around. About 2 towns and a minute later it glitched me to the far side of the ferry! My character has got to be the most water-phobic viking who ever lived...

94. Massive grammar issues with quests, notes, and text in general throughout the entire game.

95. Errors in reporting if a quest is finished, complete, ready to be continued (says failed instead of completed)

96. Bugs in every town/village/farm/area where you can walk around and has training available, can walk through some buildings and get invisible walls on buildings that are open and have a NPC in it.

97. Boat training tutorial stuff, bugged to the max... cannot leave, cannot be completed.

98. Walking through/under water (apparently they could breath water), instead of having a swimming mechanic for shallow areas.

99. horses, they all look the same... stats are shown as being random level 3 riding skill can be = to level 1 horse, some level 1 horses show better stats than level 2 and 3.

101. Items needed for crafting (having somoene build a boat, special armar, weapons, etc.) dont show up in shops, ever.

102. Horses speeds are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ly slow; cows, wtf, just what the flying F, no one used cows to ride into battle on... only used to stampede enemies, and even then it was only in defense of land under siege.

103. Apparently they didnt know how to use most of the weapons available during that time from horse back (even though in actual history they had knights or equivalent doing just that)

104. Taverns/pubs (or whatever they are called in-game) 'host' keeps bringing up dialogue for no use of any ranged weapons, while you are getting your ♥♥♥ beat... if you happen to be stuck with only ranged weapons because shops wont sell any melee weapons other than small daggers and the like.

105. Weapons, armor, horses, etc. availability is ♥♥♥♥ty no matter how far you are into the game or your currently level... shops have squat, and what they do have (surprise) is only weapons that are pretty much useless or you can never use on a horse, like any 2-handed weapon (including half of the polearms)

106. Major major issues with world map, one of the ones that bugged me the most is the random size of your representation of army... seriously, what the hell. (the other issue is trying to select a port for you to land at and towns/villages/farms/etc.)

107. I cannot level up my characters attribute when ever i gain a level. I cant use the "power draw" skill. Everytime I try to level it up, my skill point is used but the skill itself stays at 0. It``s the same with some other skills. So right now I can't use a Bow in the game.

109. Also its hard hitting the enemy. When ever I swing my guy pulls back. When ever I hit the enemy in the back or so it makes a sound as if im hitting the shield and no damage is being taken.

110. Another problem is that the enemy constently running away or backing away from me while they are swinging. I cant keep up because they are way to fast. Stamina is useless at this moment. It goes from high to tired and then right back to high then normal. Its jumping around everywhere and my guy can barely move within 13 sec into the battle.

111. I cant find stack of wood anywhere. I traveled most of the map already.

112. When you ask the shipwright to build you a ship they should add what each ships capacity is to that it would make it much easier since no one has an image or wiki of these ships.

113. Can't raid villges by boat, damn vikings.

114. When siding with West Seaxe, you are sent to Lundenwic to join a fleet. Talking to the Old Captian does not advance the plot, even after picking up Beda. I have tried waiting several days and a few different saves.

115. Get ready for class A disappointment. Paid passage from Dorestead to edinburg. ship got stuck at first second.

Cam is fixed&zoomed on Dorestead. Can't click on anything. only ESC works, nothing else. Game is fastforwarded all the time, hearing sailing sounds but there is no boat/ship anywhere. It is basically a screensaver at this point.

Worst part is, it autosaved after I paid so I can't even load the game -> game over.

116. I am on the quest The Revenge Sven the traitor and done all the peace treaties between west seaxe and vikings. Bjorn sent me to talk to some lord and when I found that lord he just keeps saying '' glad to hear it all went well come back in a few days and talk''. I have learned that bodo was supposed to talk to me as I left Bjorns camp and I was to choose either west seaxe or viking.The problem is bodo is not on the party for some reason he got deleted or I dont know. He does not talk to me about this quest and i can no longer continue to main quest line

117. No option for native mechanics (leveling mainly)

118. AI are still stupid and turning off mod formations does nothing

119. World map is still hideous and town names are hard to read

120. Speeding up time still lags.

121. It stops loading at textures.

122. Text appears blurry. Still readable but ugly. (Some textures inparty screen etc are poor as well)

123. Occasionally on world map, all units lose textures amd turn white (kind as if they were sculptures)

124. When i went to the camp of the rogue you need to defeat once you obtain 15 soldiers, instead of leading to a fight, I automatically won.

125. More than half the archers labeled archer division are allways still being stuck in the infantry division even with beta patches.

126. Very few armors and weapons no two handed axes.

127. Maybe assaulting castles shouldnt be so ridiculous. 500+ troops trying to fight on one ladder is a little unrealistic...especially since the game is so disgustingly buggy that most of the casualties collision-glitch and get launched into space.

128. Also, coastal assaults are pointless because about 3 people get off the ships to get killed. the rest just rush to the front of the ships. Maybe introduce some sort of landing dock or something. Overall, really really half-♥♥♥♥♥ release.

129. Attacking Enemy AI is STILL BUGGED. Even if they are assaulting you you still get the message "YOU'VE RAN INTO THE TRAP!" and enemy just stands there waiting for you. This is totally unfair due to Stamina implemented in the game. Attackers should be Attacking.

130. Aetheling Wulfing quest that requires you to bring 15 cattle (At Reddingdum camp) KEEPS GETTING CANCELLED FOR NO REASON! Story progression is impossible until that bug is fixed.

131. Enemy AI doesn't know how to embark or disembark ships.

132. CAPTURED CITIES REVERT BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL FACTION UPON CAPTURE? WTF I spent about 800 War hardened soldiers to Dunwyc and SUDDENLY IT TURNED BACK TO CONTROL OF ENEMY FACTION WITH MY GARRISONED TROOPS BECOMING ITS GARRISSON!

133. Sailors. Sailors are the joke in this game. They are certainly the butt pirate(d) men of the game and need serious upgrade either through the tree or in weaponry. PEASANTS AND REFUGEE WOMEN MAKE BETTER SAILORS IN THIS GAME!
Overall I still believe this game have very, very huge potential, but cmon developers! Fix your ♥♥♥♥!

134. The ships getting stuck during travel hit me during my first playthrough. I was forced to leave Firese after following the storyline to get revenge on Sven and being betrayed by a Jarl. So, logically I went to the nearest port and tried to get out. This prompted me to move a small distance, and get stuck. Saving & Exiting was my only apparent option and as I use the single save game mode, I essentially got stuck there with no way to backtrack. It is rather disappointing to see this occur in the main narrative path of the game, on my first playthrough. I was worried I would be stuck completely, it certainly looked that way. Finally I did find a way out, and I hope it helps other players:

I have noticed the ships move a short distance forward and then get stuck. By saving, exiting and reloading the game to allow them to move a little again, you can actually get to your destination .

I actually lost track of the ships as the camera would not move, but after a few minutes of saving, exiting, reloading and waiting a few seconds while I assumed they would move a few paces, the ships did actually reach the port of destination and I was able to continue playing. Seemingly normally. I must have saved/loaded over a dozen times to get to Dunwic from Dorestad.

I really hope this works for you guys!

135. The NPCs that are claimed to be near bal luigne or whatever but never appear seem to nearly always be just running around the map in/near their home faction, you have to actually find them to progress in some spots.

136. During the final battle with svens troops, the city gates are closed, some of svens troops actually spawned outside of the wall unreachable, prompting me to have to use ctrl alt f4 cheat to actually progress.

137. The final scene does not allow you to access your inventory, you have to hit g to drop a weapon.

155. The tournaments are sometimes very unfair. Make it so they are equal. Having spears against axes and swords makes the battle one sided.

156. I encountered a quaint bug when I was attacking a bandit hideout. Midfighting the game suddenly decided I was fighting for the wrong side and switched me over to the bandit side. I killed all my companions AND my old self and won the day! I lost all troops I killed when switched, all my named companions were at 1% and I were at 30%. Still counted as a win though.
This is the weirdest bug one yet for me.

157. I cant wait in a "Camp" - I can build one and visit it but it always says i'm on water -> So i can only wait in Cities and Castles.

158. Half of my Troops remain still on the Spawn and wont react to my Orders. which makes warfare very Static.

160. Sailing from Port to Port destroyed my Campaign. Ship leaves port for like 10m and remain still for days, weeks, years wont going anywhere - making a shiptravel without Ship impossible.

164. Game Just hangs / freezes part way through the opening story line - about the viking encounter. Locks up every time - so not playable at all. Checked the specs I do better than the "strong" so???

165. Very weak arrows/bows. In that time of a game (9 century) vikings had got arrows specialy designed to penetrate chainmail, but in this mod you need 3-5 arrows to kill common peasant... 17 damage bow I have got and +2 barbed arrows... But it is still weak with my 7 power draw and 150+ archery skill.
I am understood about weak bows in Brytenwalda - but VC is another era! There were much more strong bows!

166. Children don't have younger looking features, every child just looks like a damn dwarf...

168. I took a quest to bring cattle to a village. Ever since I have gotten random notifications that I have delivered a random number of cattle to various people. For example, I will be notified that I delivered 27 head of cattle to suchandsuch. About 5min later it will say 7 cattle delivered to a different person, then zero cattle, etc etc. However, I never actually delivered any cattle to anyone. I am not sure if this is related to taking the cattle quest, but that is when I noticed it.

169. On the world map, AI unit (slave traders, trading caravans, armies) stay in there ships along shore and never move. It looks like they are either stuck, or cant come ashore.

170. When I start Viking Conquest I usually have to wait about an hour or more on the loading screen, the loading bar moves extremely slow. and when it does load the menu text takes 30 seconds to highlight/respond to the cursor hovering over the word.

171. Also after switching to direct 7 shading it says the mod isnt compatible with direct 7 shading.

172. In charater creation the right hand "Biography" page does not produce more than the initial paragraph. So none of the comments on selection of the various charateristics appear as guides / comments to complement / guide your selection

173. Every 2nd or 3rd interaction talking to a game figure - freezes the game and locks my PC up entirely. I have turned almost every option I can off or down. Either this game is not in a saleable state or they lied about the spec's needed to get it to run.
My bet is it's both!
Bluntly under consumer laws in NZ this game and its sale are effectively fraudulent!

Game locks up every few hours like clock work.
Pop up textures, screen tear.
Special locations crash or have errors. (troll club just given to me no fight)
Music plays...whenever.
Not much worse than Native really. (<-- This guy thinks VC is almost equal to Native. It isn't.)

175. If you fail 2 defeat the west seaxe foragers they vanish and you can never move on in the story.

when you have to pay more denars than you get from the quest ,just to get to another port.

183. I didnt read them all but i havent heard of this specific thing before. In my game, I got the bug with the travelling to a different port, the boat, as stated above, went a few feet out and then stopped.
However the difference in mine was that when I restarted the game, the camera was following a group of bandits. This made me suspect that upon using this in game system you had a chance to be backstabbed and captured, after minutes of following (weeks, months ingame) I wasnt released and the bandits wasnt killed.

For now I have simply not saved anymore but sadly I cannot I'm still stuck in the boat/group of bandits as i played with the realistic settings

NEVER EVER PLAY THIS WITH REALISTIC SETTINGS! There are way too many gamebreaking bugs for that. MY GOD MAN! TREASURE YOUR SANITY!

What I notice is that many ships are stuck trying to get to port. This way alot of my trading ships and those of other factions are stuck and I even had my lord stuck there for a while until I found him and let me follow me to get me out. This is not just one location. There are many locations I have found where this happens.

And what is said above about the lag every 2 sec, I have it to when traveling. And when I enter a property its always loading very slow.

Try in launcher, configuration/advanced turn on "Force single trading" and turn off music. It helped me in some other unfinished mods... And wait "loading textures" at least 3-4 minute - this phase takes a long time (I am not sure if it do it exacly)

196. I reported this bug in another thread but don't see it here. When I go to Doccaca (or whatever it's called) to fight against Sven because the Jarl isn't going to help I see that many allies appear as enemies on the overlay map. When I speak to a huscarl he challenges me to fight or surrender. I get past the bit where a huscarl gives the orders but as soon as fighting starts after Sven's ships land the game crashes. Storyline broken - game broken.

Why should I have to go to a "village leader" and ask him permission. These "idle" men (I.E. no work, I.E. starvation rations) are FREE men and can decide whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they want to do.

I'm offering good and honourable WORK so why do I have to pay a commission (And that's if I'm lucky enough to impress with my pathetic grovelling) to a man who has NO JURISTICTION whatsoever over what FREE MEN decide to do with their lives? They ARN'T slaves!!!

These are untrained pathetic peasants, they should be paying ME an initial fee for the opportunity to work. (Training and equipment costs money you know)

The economy is a joke, recruiting free men who are doing effectively nothing is a joke, the base game of M&B was perfect in regards to recruitment and this mod has made things considerably worse.

Now can you answer a single one of my questions, Why do I have to go through the insane difficulty of trying bribe a "village leader" to give me rights that he doesn't have over free men?

Exactly, He has NO AUTHORITY, they ARN'T his men, thus this game is in my opinion flawed. (The base game of M&B had no problems in this respect so why the ridiculous and unrealistic change?)

I don't know how much research the makers of this DLC actually put in but what I do know for a fact is that in regards to Viking societies free men can choose their own destinies, That's what being free men means.

204. Friendly horses can be used to grief a friendly shield wall. The griefer just gets behind the line and dismounts. Horse runs into line and disrupts it to allow enemy npcs through. Viking Invasion mode. Disable mount damage if you need to in this mode.

No I did not, am I doing something wrong here?

I initially want to stop Bull Neck, but I lacked the neccecary reinforcements & power.

I'm tryna get married to Konungr Eirik. He's a bit confusing, I asked him what it would take to have an alliance and he asked me if I wanted to Marry him. I said " Sure" then he said. " Sorry my heart belongs to another maiden" but then immediatly after that he offered to marry him and I said yes ( marrying a king hell yas) and I got a quest. I waited a 50 or so days for him to arrange the marraige but he didn't so I met up with him and he said " My lady I grow tired of waiting for the lords to assemble..blabla...we should marry in any great hall" . Then he didn't say anything. So I went to the main city in his land and went to the mead hall asked around for any options to marry- there were none. Next time I see him he says the same " My lady
I grow tired" thing again. Then I saw I still had the option to ask him to marry even though he had accepted and I already had the quest to marry him. This time he said " another maiden has gotten my heart" thing. wtf? he's already accepted to marry me and II have the quest the wedding just won't happen even though he keeps telling me he will get married in any great hall

If you talked to king, then you need to do two things, talk to Thonkrik in Doccinga and Jarl of Kennemer (after talking to him, a messenger will come you.

Thanks alot that you're willing to help me thus far, but I think I am already past that messenger point. I tried talking to either the jarl or the king but both want me to go fight Bull Neck without offering any help whatsoever. Is it mandatory for the story to defend doccinga or not?

If so I suppose I'll just cheat my way through it, I was having fun so far with the expansion (hair physics ftw) but this is a major ballbuster and to me it looks like bad development.

its a choice you have to make, there will be more big story driven choices too.

if you are playing with no saving you might want to look at your back up save it goes two saves back.

I made a couple of new games and took completely different speech options but every time I end up having to go to Doccinga and fight there. Do you know how I can go around that? It's pretty annoying tbh.

You can't side with the Jarl, you have to fight for Doccinga, It is part of the main story line and you don't get any other choices. The game makes you think like you do have choices but no matter what dialogue you pick there is no way to side with the Jarl.
