I think you get moral increase if you pillage monks as christian and churches as pagan. Same logic the other way around: you loose moral if you pillage something of your own religion.

Omg i love this idea. makes it hard to recruit in christian lands tho. but what I do is order my men to use blunt weapons only. This makes them use blunt or fists. Knock out all those monks an then sell them/enslave them. its great :D DEN THE LOOTS!!! I've gotten very good at trading in VC. With the help of my friends we got trade routes maped out. lol every raid + knowing where to sell = Mass profit.
One of the things I liked in Brytenwalda. I chose to be a pagan, then I had to pillage all churches around. Like it happened in those days, churches meaning the invaders. Great for immersion.

Not sure about VC but in Brytenwlada attacking wanderning clerics was okay but looting churches made tons of towns and villages dislike you. The loot from the churches was only so so. Not really worth the inconvenience of extra enemies, fewer locations to safely rest and sell loot, and grinding more relations with towns to build a producitve enterpise there.
