A Clash of Kings mod is not working (And I have read pretty much every thread I could find already)

First time posting so if I am asking this in the wrong area, I do apologize

So first thing that I did to try and fix this is to delete the rgl_config.txt. I have done that a few times.
I uninstalled it, both the game/mod and reinstalled it.
Started new characters... And I have tried other things like, go offline, turn texture off, enable cheats, etc.
Nothing really seems to be working.. And i know its not my laptop. I have an i7 core and like 6-8 gb of ram, Windows 8 etc. Its a Lenovo Y510P
Anyways, I'm about to give up... Is there anything else I can do to try and fix this?
I am currently using the 1.5 version of the mod, is that version considered to be unstable?
I mean after reinstalling everything, I played the native version for a bit and it ran well... So perhaps its just the mod and maybe 1.4 might work better?

I'd really appreciate any help. I literally only bought this game for the Game of Thrones mods lol. I'd be sad if I was out $10, when I was debating between this and doing Skyrim (so I can mod the ♥♥♥♥ out of it hahahaha).

The game was working for about an hour-two hours, before it started to crash. And now it wont even last 5 minutes

MBW crashes when the memory gets to heavy. Make some saves accordingly.
But not every 5 minutes. This might have to do with the cache?
Within Steam main window:
library / games / MBW / properties
Left click on that
empty the cache in one of the tabs (3rd one, local files)

this mod is huge and has some good ideas. but i hate that sudden popups where you have to makes a decision, if you choose wrong you end up with -2 agility or - strength or so on... really annoying...

Yeah. You can export your character, edit the stats back to their original value and reimport though.

The dev stubbornly refuses to put in an option to turn this ♥♥♥♥ off.

they played to much dungen and dragons! i never did because you get then - 5 charisma for your life :DD
